It's the Finals. It deserves its own thread.

crofl I just heard that one of the canucks bit Bergeron's finger at the end of the first. wtf?

NBC was probably psyched to see that, tbh.

I thought Boston played about as well as they could've and still lost. Lefty is probably right...this series could be over quickly.

    It depends on game 2

That game will be huge; if Boston wins it, and they can, we have a long series.
If Vancouver wins it, it's over

I was stuck late at work, following it online. As soon as I saw that score update I screamed a few obscenities. Thankfully only my peers were around, and no bosses.

Eh, Boston missed some chances. It would be nice to score a PP goal or two though. It's astonishing how bad it is. They really really really just need to stop the Kaberle experiment.

    Another move that bugged me:

Chara had exclusively been paired with Dennis Seidenberg throughout the playoffs, but Julien elected to pair Chara with Boychuk, put Seidenberg with Andrew Ference and kept Tomas Kaberle with rookie Adam McQuaid for several shifts.
Why Julien? The Chara/Seidenberg combo has been owning throughout the postseason. I know you're worried about Kesler, but look, you split up the defensive pairing that was working and they still scored.

Remember when you had Chara/Seidenberg split up, and you lost the first two games against Montreal? Go back with what works. If they score on our second or third line, so be it. But the Chara/Seidenberg line has real chemistry, don't mess with that.

That's gonna make it near impossible for Bruins to win this. I have no idea why Thomas came out so damn far. Bad decision-making.

By the way, B's goals scored by 2 BC natives - Lucic and Recchi

Of course Burrows would score the GW goal. Shades of the Carolina GW scorer.
