Man this sux... I doubt we will hear any new news on Maggette or anyone else until Monday... No news on the 4th or the weekend for that matter...![]()

Because all those teams respect the Spurs. Jazz play harball no matter what. Its only the freakin Portland tool, the Rockets - that have no respect at all and spit on our faces, depite giving them Scola on a silver platter.

roger mason?
Well, according to Don Harris, Maggette has the Spurs at the top of his list and should make a decision by next week. At least that's what "league sources" told him this afternoon.
Did you read it on the Agent Handbook Forum? That would totally be so cool if so....
nice, whose don harris?
The lead sports guy at News 4.
Ah, well if that's the case, then I'm looking forward to next week. WOAI is the only San Antonio sports people I will listen to.
You know what...
I think I stumbled on to McDonald's source.
Way to go Jeff!
Let Don Harris do the leg-work.![]()
Don harris's league sources are probobly Spurstalk.com
Well if that's the case, maybe he's smarter than we give him credit for.![]()
No hes an idiot.
His "those losers on the sports message boards" comment totally turned me off to him.
Yeah I know I dont have the best sports takes, but that doesn't make me some s of the earth look down your nose at which he does regularly.
Screw Don Harris.
Wow! Tell me how you really feel.
He actually used to be the best local sports t.v. guy, but he seems to have gotten pretty full of himself. It's pretty hilarious how he's been throwing out his opinion's as fact, and how intelligent he really thinks he is.
He's kind of like the guy at work that's been there so long, that he becomes lazy and cuts corners because of an over-inflated since of worth.
well i believe him.
I hope hes right.
I hope the Spurs and Maggette are close to a deal.
I just refuse to believe it, cause once you do, then your set up for the let down.
By next week he should know if the Sixers and/or Warriors will make him an offer or not. That timeline kinda makes sense.

Don Harris is the award winning Weekday Sports Anchor and Sports Director for News 4 (TV). In April of 2008 he was honored by the Texas A.P. Broadcasters for Best Sportscast and Best Sports Story. The News 4 Sports department was also honored in the TV Special category for their "Race For The Rings" Spurs Special.
In 2005 he was honored by the Texas A.P. Broadcasters for Best Editorial/Commentary for his "Don's Extra Point." It was the third straight year he won in that category. He also won Best Sports Story in 2005 and his sports anchoring has been recognized with two Emmy nominations.
Harris is a 19 year veteran of News 4, and has covered many major sporting events during that time, including Super Bowls, Final Fours and Four Spurs World Championships. News 4's Race for the Rings (Spurs pregame and postgame shows) were among the highest rated shows in San Antonio television history.
In 2000, Don launched "Sports Sunday" - a unique version of a weekly sports show that climbed to the top of the local ratings.
Harris made broadcasting history in late 2001 when he became the first and only broadcaster to host a live radio sports talk show and anchor a live television sportscast - simultaneously!
In December 2002, Don was named as one of the San Antonio Business Journal's "40 Under Forty" rising stars in the local community. In 2005 he was named "Best Talk Radio host" by the San Antonio Current readers poll.
In 1998 Harris started the Don Harris Charity classic, a golf tournament benefiting the Arthritis Foundation and The Family Service Association. Many top local sports celebrities have taken part helping to raise thousands of dollars for local children. This year the tournament will generate a record donation to the Family Service Association.
Harris works closely with two other local charities that he is actively involved in. He is on the advisory board of the Miracle League Of San Antonio and and an active supporter of Slam Dunk for Life.
Harris is married to wife Julie, who like Don, attended San Antonio's Churchill High School and the University of North Texas. They have two sons, Landry and Grant. When not working, he enjoys basketball and spending time with his family.
My thoughts exactly.
I wonder if Maggette is playn us to get G State to ramp up an offer.....they dont wanna come away with nothing this off season after losing davis. If Corey wants to win he need to commit by the 8th or we need to move on .....or we could get screwed big time and end up with nothing.
Don't your fellow agents tell you anything?
Update: A Celtics source continued to insist that the team has made no formal offer to Maggette, the Boston Herald reports.
Recommendation: The source said that the former Clipper is simply aware that the Celtics have a mid-level exception available. The other newspaper in town, the Boston Globe, reported an offer made and that Maggette is seriously considering it. However, the Celtics don’t have a starting job for Maggette, who is being courted by several other teams that can.

looks like Detriot is now a player as well. Basically anyone with the MLE available will be linked to CM, however he cant sign with all of them. Even with the Boston report on ESPNNEWs yesterday, i think they put that up since it was a slow sports day yesterday. I am sure BOS is talking to him but i doubt they would offer the MLE so soon, esp. if it would drive posey away which it would, and there is no promise that PHI or GS will not offer 10M next week and blow everyone out of the water and leave them with a pissed off posey. I am sure the spurs offered the MLE, but i do question who these "sources" are saying he would sign there. I think alot of the talk is based on the spurs offering the contract and it "making sense" that we would go there. but if anyone breaks the bank for Mag, I know he bolts for them. If he only gets MLE offers, i say its 50/50 he goes to the spurs.
