google do ents are free and compatible, but web based
So my trial of MOW was up and my entered the product key on the CD case. It didn't work. After I called them up they said the key was invalid and that I have to go purchase a copy.
So skrooem', anyone know of any related products that are freeware? I like MOW but I am not about to go spend the dough to buy a copy when I was supposed to have one included with my Toshiba.

why not use open office?
Never heard of it before ducks.
Not a fan of it.

Free. Plus you can open/edit etc MS Word, Excel etc files.
*I'll have to DL it early in the morning when my daily download limit is free. Ugh.
I'll edit with comments.

what version of Microsoft Word?
you have to be able to talk MS into it. i talk them into free XP keys 2-3 times a year. ask for someone's supervisor and offer to fax in your receipt or something. regardless, it's easy to procure a enterprise copy of office XP on any number of torrent sites.
thanks kori
I got tied up at work to get back to him or her
2007 word sucks
it puts a x after .doc
so you have to download the 2007 word viewer
but you can not edit it!
the excel broke macros from previous versions on macosx too, that was a pain in the ass. i think the latest patch fixed it, but that was lame.
Save yourself time and just pirate everything.
We have to use excel 07 at work because of our new project and I want to shoot myself about every time I try to use it. I still haven't figured out how to plot anything or make any graphs to my satisfaction as I could in 03. I wish I could have both versions on my pc at work.
I just installed the complete office 07 on my home pc... haven't played around with it too much to like/hate it yet, but we'll still have office 03 on the wife's pc if I need.
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding- There's the answer. If MS is going to you, why not them right back and run stolen versions of their software?
Cause I can't. My satellite doesn't agree with torrents. They are always corrupted files.
I second that. Plus open office is pretty much the same thing and it's free. I rather give a donation to open office than purchase anything from microsoft.
what sucks is you can't run Office 2000 on Vista. Well you can run everything but outlook, cause it screws up on the address book and such.
