    Holy , I'm crying.

Too bad we're facing USA, it sucks to know this team can only get bronze at best.
i would NEVER bet against this team... i know it may look bad... but i just can't stop believing...

Manu also mentioned that Chapu was suffering during halftime, but Manu wasn't sure what happened to him. He says that the US team is playing with a lot of courage, and are playing unbelievably well, so it's gonna be a very tough one. Hopefully, Chapu will be well enough for the semis. Manus said that on the court, it's still five-on-five. They've done it before and they'll try to do it again. Manu also said he tried to put a good arc on his last three, but he didn't have any legs left for that.

I don't usually like Delfino's style, but damn! he exploded just when they needed it.
I spent a whole season watching him for the Raptors and he can be so frustrating. Some games he looks amazing, like today, and when he played well, Toronto usually won. Then other games, he is just a chucker shooting up bricks! He picked a good day for a great game.

I am kind of glad my computer froze before I could realize the game had gotten THAT close.
Your computer would have just froze again at the climax in the end!

It wasn't even a bad shot he took. With that much time left you don't know if you'll get a better look than that, regardless if he had taken a 2 point shot or not.
    You're just making my point.

    Holy , I'm crying.

Too bad we're facing USA, it sucks to know this team can only get bronze at best.
Well, don't underestimate the heart of a champion. USA fans are nervous, we wanted Greece. I know, I am one of them. It won't be a blowout. I will not be shocked if Argentina wins to be honest, and it would not be an upset either.

    What a game...

I'm so happy for this team, top4 in the last 4 mayor tournaments is HUGE for a country like Argentina.
USA team will destroy us, no dout about it, Nocioni is injured, our bench sans Delfino sucks and our PG is iregular at best... but that won't change how proud they make me feal.

Grats Manu & company, well deserved.

Manu getting tired; 13 of 17 FGA today were threes.
As long as he keeps making half of them, he can shoot all the threes he likes.

wow, if I didn't know any better I'd say you were an Argie. Anyway, you just pretty much described what I was doing during the game.
Scary huh? Never would have expected a post to come from me like that eh?

Hey whatever, V-Span is my new hero! if he hadn't done that, we could very well have lost. Greece must be pissed at him right about now...
Lmao I bet. I see now why everyone knocks V-Span.

    Delfino = Jordan

    Spanoulis = Steve Francis
    Manu* = Jordan

Spanoulis = yeah I agree with you.

sorry for the upoming beatdown Argentina
This is exactly what got the USA smoked in 2004. We can blame it on like, 'we didn't get practice together to mold into a team', but did any USA squad before it? No.

I'm not saying it won't happen, it very well could. But the way USA came into the Australia game, if they do that against Argentina they will find themselves down after the first quarter instead of up by a few.

That's the thing. I admit I haven't seen that many games from him. From the few times though, he seemed like a feast or famine kind of guy. I'm glad he had a feast today. I just hope he and the rest of that bench have a lot more stored.

I'm not the one throwing around unfounded accusations.

Look at it this way, since you're so sure I posted about Delfino, you now have a prime opportunity to make me look stupid. Find the posts... otherwise, learn when to shut the up.

    You're just making my point.
Whatever you say. It wasn't nearly as bad of a shot as you're making it out to be. With that much time on the clock you go with the first decent look you get and it happened to be a semi-contested 3 from the top of the key. A drive to the hole doesn't guarantee 2 points or even a better look than the one he got.

It's nice to know Argentina gained that kind of respect... but lets be logical for a sec... is almost imposible for THIS argentina team to beat THIS USA team.

Manu is tired (6 games in 12 days), Nocioni is hurted, Prigioni is irregular and will probably get sloppy with the defencive intencity Team USA is showing, Delfino can save you as ez as he can kill you with his shooting, our bench is TERRIBLE, USA team is playing like a real team and is on a mission to show the world they are still the best... I'm missing anything?

I think the odds are easily 100 to 1 agaist Argentina. I really hope I'm wrong tho.
I'll be happy if we lose on a good game and we win the bronze medal vs Spain/Lituania.

Pretty unexpected I must say Still, new church members are always welcome.

Bull aside, what a great game, whether you're an Argie fan, Manu fan or just plain basketball fan. Props to Greece, they put up one of a fight!

Oh and very good game too. I was only able to stream the 4th quarter from work but it was by far the most entertaining game I've seen these olympics. The U.S.-Argentina game should be fun

What's the deal with this Papaloukas guy? MVP of this MVP of that.

I watch him out there and he looks like . Supposed to be great defensively as well? Manu made him his on that 2nd last isolation, should of got the call for push in the back as well, but didn't.
