Show us how to lose classlessly Argentina...just like you showed us how to win classlessly over the past 4 years.

So ref bashing is allowed now? I am sure Tim Duncan appreciates that.

Just like they did in 04 right?
No, the US didnt get any help in 04 so they just want to avoid having the same outcome handing them those nice calls.

Yes, they were much better than Argentina, they deserved to win, but they just didnt impressed me.
Were they supposed to? All that matters is who wins.

Seriously though, at least you are man enough to acknowledge the win. You seem to be one of the few who is a good sport.

As much as I'm a fan of Manu, the U.S. team is just a more talented team.

It would take the Argentinian team a lot of good team work, red hot shooting and a disorganized U.S. team to win. That's what they did last time, unfortunately, with an injured Manu, luck wasn't on their side this time.

Hats of to the Argentinians for keep it relatively close even without Manu.

Well looks like Scola can play in the big leagues... don't we have his draft rights?

This will be my last post since Im not much of a poster, I prefer reading. Let me put this with an analogy with soccer (yes, I know, soccer sucks for you). Everytime I watch Argentina play soccer I expect them to play excellent and score great goals against everyone (including our archi-rivals, Brazil) given the kind of players we have. In your case, being from the US you should be happy for the win, because after all like you said its all that matters, but I would be a little dissapointed, that's all.

Congratulations and go for your deserved gold medal

Team USA must be a good group.

They can pull a win even with Mike D'antoni on the bench.

NBA fans pretty much don't even want the NBA players playing in the Olympics...and after the players win gold they will likely lose the desire to keep playing basketball year round.

You see, in my country, playing in the Olympics for basketball players isn't a doorway to being declared a National Hero and becoming wealthy from endorsements...in my country, playing on the Olympic basketball team is a thankless job, that pays no money, garners no respect, no additional fame, and doesn't accomplish anything other than putting a gold medal on your chest.

In my country, playing for the National Basketball team doesn't even get many Americans to root for you...proof in this thread.
    1. not true

    2. I know what is going on in your country. You've got fake imagination about being a patriot, being proud etc.

Now can you honestly tell me the same is true for Manu and the guys on Team Argentina? Of if they were Poland?

No prestige, no respect, and damn sure no money...is that the way it works in Poland and Argentina with their Olympic Basketball players?

Tell me again who is doing this more for material(and otherwise) gain? Truely, all the NBA players are getting out of this is a gold medal...and literally nothing else. Not even good will from their countrymen...
The olympics are not important because of the money.
    Prestige and history - yes.

All in all Olympics are the most global sports compe ion through the ages.
Yoiu dream toi be there you train to be there, you giving maximum effort not to fail.
In Poland when we have a medal chance and a sportsmen blew the chance he/she is all over the "papers".
Someone with chances but not huge ones gets gold, he is autaomatic hero in Poland! (Shot put men - Majewski! As an example)

You've got many chances of winning gold, and most of the gold medalists are not known by you and the rest of americans. You know only about the gys/gals which are in the news. (well all our medal (or good place) chances are in the news, because there is not that much)

I would hope for poland to have the same training posibilities as americans do. All in all it's a different planet, believe me.

Fair points. With the track record of USA Basketball since 2000, I am very impressed with the outcome.

Plenty of Americans were rooting against team USA, so there should be absolutely no reason to generalize us all....and as well many that were rooting for team USA and doing so in a classy fashion. I look in this thread and there are about 2 or maybe 3 posters talking heavy ...and we were far outnumbered by the Argies that talk ...and have been for 4 years now.

Hopefully we've seen the last of ArgScolaFan.

Isnt' this Krykrswsky coach a Polish guy?

So Polandszdfgm should calm down and start to read the Polish news about how much Poland has contributed to put a gold medal on the neck of Mike D'antoni.

    What an amazing task.

I don't know what to tell you man...America is America and Poland is Poland...I don't see what's worth getting upset about. You think it'd be different if things were reversed,..but it wouldn't be. Human nature is human nature...

Tell me Poland...do you still get excited about what an amazing invention your computer is?

    It's like that.

    NBA Players don't.
That's what I wanted to say - it's different in america. You like to realese your own product and "ride" on it. Saying it's the best.
I'm in a way of watching do antary "Bigger Stronger faster" (side effect of being an american)

America is young country so they don't have the history in ancient olympics. And the olympics are not americans product.

I don't know what to tell you man...America is America and Poland is Poland...I don't see what's worth getting upset about. You think it'd be different if things were reversed,..but it wouldn't be. Human nature is human nature...
    Human nature is human nature.
    But the culture is different.

    Am I getting upset?
I think not. I would love to have perfect world, without war, disease
, hunger etc. I want every human to be happy (in a perfect world).

And I'm not hating on americans as many would think.
I just want to make some havoc and make people think about some things - that's why I'm exaggerating. You need strong statments for that in conversations IMO.

Tell me Poland...do you still get excited about what an amazing invention your computer is?
YUP, it's old and stuff but I still can play NBA Live on it

btw. I got laptop with vista - soI have to work on changing it to have an internet on it.
This laptop is amazing machine, but I'm still behind the techician issues about it. I've got internet camera and stuff. But for me it's not usefull.
I'm qutie simple and with age I'm getting more simple and I want less things as my properties.

    Cheers
