It needs a bigger tv/monitor. When the speakers are bigger than the tv/monitor somethings wrong.
I just happened across the setup this guy was sporting on [H]ardforums. It's absolutely sickeningly beautiful.
What do you guys think?
Just for comparison's sake, I'll post my own modest rig and setup tomorrow.
It needs a bigger tv/monitor. When the speakers are bigger than the tv/monitor somethings wrong.
Who wants to be standing up all day?
Haha. I'm sure he has a chair somewhere. It's probably shaped like a speaker.... or IS a speaker.....
Watch it be a Pentium R with integrated video
So post.
I mean, yeah he doesn't have the best monitor setup, but that is obviously rigged for ridiculously amazing sound.
I'll post my rig later.
Just got Mass Effect, going on 1.5 hours of sleep
That is the next game I'm buying.
Be sure to post the specs on your rig!
It's an awesome game imo. I was never into space aged games, but I love it. It's like gears of war (combat feeling) meets FireFly/Serenity.
If you're getting it for PC, be ready for some shaky tech support though. My game crashes about 1-2 times each hour. 60% of the time I have to reboot. There are all kinds of problems people are having over on the official Bioshock/Masseffect boards.
It feels like a third monitor would go where the baseball-looking thing is.
It needs one of these:

I actually installed a couple of these as part of a video editing system at a client. It looks very good.

at the headphones.
some of the headphones out there can put lots of speaker set ups to shame. Some people spend ~$1k on a really good pair and get insane audio quality.
That would be sweet. I could have Visual Studio open on one desktop, API do entation on the second, and fullscreen latina porn on the third.
$1000 won't touch a high end headphone setup. Here, this was from an audio meet I went to back in the Spring:
Those two little black boxes next to the guy, the CD player off to the side, and the headphones total around $16,000+.
$4k for the CD player
$5,300 for the B-52 (pre-amp, amp)
$6,000 minimum for the headphones (they aren't even made anymore).
And there's more that's not even shown in the picture.
Of course, that's pretty much the king of the hill when it comes to headphone setups.
Here's Al Gore's computer setup - 3 30" monitors. Doesn't seem very...green.
All that money no wonder he can't afford decent clothes.
Does any of the $6k for those headphones go into keeping the connections from the wires to the headphones from breaking like they do in every pair of headphones known to mankind?
don't forget the TV he is not even watching. He has a windmill outside to power all that.
Or you could just watch the porn on a single monitor and forget about that other stuff
That could get you fired though.
I didn't realize you were talking about work
