LeBron is a better teammate, but is not a better player. Even though he puts up crazy stats on the Cavs, he has subpar teammates. He would have to sacrifice his game if he were on the Lakers, much like Ray Allen did with the Celtics. Kobe will go down as the better player even though LeBron has a very promising 15 years ahead of him.

He is. At the same time, last year's PO performances doesn't really say a whole lot about the debate about who's better.

Cav's defense >>>> Laker's defense

Lebron was awful in a majority of those games vs. the Celtics. The only game he really exploded in was Game 7. The difference was the Cav's defense was on par if not better than Boston's. The Laker's defense on the other hand can be symbolized as a whole by one play; Ray Allen blowing past SV and no help in sight . . .
