Ok, now that I finally got my PS3, I now want to setup the whole gaming system to a fully wireless one. I know I'll need the $100 adapter for the 360, but the Wii and PS3 are ready to go.

Anyone care to recommend some good routers and brands that I should check out? I'm just tired of looking at the cables running in my game room and always having to switch it out from the PS3 to the 360 and vice versa.

    I have this one,

But it still cost allot, here is the cheapest I can find it online.

I had a linksys and hated it because someone would always lag so I upgraded and On this router now I have 1 PS3 wired, 1 PS3 wireless, 1 Xbox Wired, 1 Xbox wireless, 2 pc's wired, and one laptop wireless and no one ever notices any slowdown or lag while playing online.

On my old linksys when I would download a torrent everyone knew I was because there game or PC would go slow online. With the DGL-4300 I download now and no one even knows I am. I love this router.

If you are a casual gamer this is probably overkill.

You also don't need to spend a 100.00 to get a Xbox wireless. My brother uses this on his Xbox

If you have a extra plug then this is way cheaper, I got one off Amazon along time ago when they were like 30 bucks on sale and even tho it's wireless B he still plays just fine online.

OR for a few bucks more you can get Wireless G, I found one for the same price as the above one tho.

I also had one on my Xbox until I gave it to my cousin for him to play online and it work fine.

buying wireless g means nothing unless you buy a wirless g router. you wont notice a bit of difference unless you have the g router.

But you still need a G router. ISP providers don't give a damn about keeping up with technology. They are only useful for bandwidth.

FIOS might be the only one that comes standard.

    Nah, not me.

I actually got lucky and found a wireless router lying around the house. Got everything up and running yesterday. 2 cell phones, PSP, PS3, 360, Wii, laptop all connected, no probs!

    Thanks again!

Download Nero Media Server software and run it on your laptop. The PS3 will read it and you can play media from your laptop on your PS3.
