I have seen you guys talk about LJ being let go or Sato. Then I saw someone say that Rose would go to the IL to make room for Malone. I say let Mike Wilks walk. Why do we need him. We have really 4 guys we could put at the point in TP, Udrih, Barry, and Manu. If we need to use Wilks in the playoffs, we're doomed. I think he was signed in case Beno was a disappointment which he is not. Let this guy walk. I say even if we dont sign Malone which I am confident we will, put Wilks on the IL and lets see what LJ or Sato can do.
Wilks went on IL today when Rasho came back. Is that a sign to come of what will happen if/when Malone arrives? Who knows?
I think they just put Wilks on IL for now because Tim, Horry, etc are all banged up and they need to keep all the big bodies active. When Tim gets healthy, I think that Marks goes to IL and Wilks gets reactivated.
When/If Malone comes, I have no idea who they'll cut.
How many players have "walked" on the Spurs only to get a moderately nice contract?

When Malone comes, doesn't the Spurs have to cut somebody and add another player to the IL?
Wilks, Malik, Rasho, Beno or Massenburg... waive any of them, they don't equate to wins and losses anyway.
Wilks and Mass are probably expendable. the other three definitely equate to wins and losses. Without Beno in Phoenix we don't win, so that's one for him. Without Malik in LA it's hard to see us winning that one. t would be real stupid to cut Malik and Rasho.
It will never happen you dont cut contracts like theirs
