PM Blizz he does data recovery.
I was inserting Xp in a PC I forgot my 500gb hd was still in the USB.
I kinda wondered why windows gave me the option to delete a par ion I figured it was one of those HDs that had extra par ions so i deleted them both and created a new one. But when i went to use my one touch maxtor best buy 99.00 dollars. The USB didn't recognize it.
I will post details on what was on the HD and what I did that may have made it worst.
anyone have a HD accidently erased story?
PM Blizz he does data recovery.
thats n man
during installation wouldnt it ask you which drive to par ion and you can tell which one by how big the hdd is....
It only says par ion 1- 2879000 bytes
parttionion 2- 45800900 bytes
who really pays attention after they have been smoking and drinking all night?
I accedently touched the back of my Seagate hd with a metal object while it was on ,I saw a small spark now it just spins no data. That was 6 months worth of porn down the drain.
Have you ever found a HD in the trash and did a data revovery you find some strange .
dude check if that still works, or else your hdd became static
That ing sucks man. I didn't erase my drive, but about a week ago I came back in town from a vacation and tried to plug my 1 TB Western Digital drive in. er's dead, so I know exactly what you're going through. Nothing like losing hundreds of Gig's of apps, pics, music and film to put you in a contemplatively sorrowful mood. You lose that much data, plus all the work it took to download all that data and it's almost like somebody died. Anybody got a good mail-in recovery service to recommend?
If you take apart the case you may be able to use this...........
what is tha tcoolgear product called? ive been looking for one of those but didnt know what to search for.
USB to SATA Adapter
i need the one that does regulard hard drives or laptop drives. i bought one before but it did not have an adapter for the laptop hard drive.
I tried Recuva a program on many other jobs that found missing files but this time it said no HD present on E drive. I figured the Maxtor was missing some sort of MBR or basic files to allow the PC to identify it.
So I stick my Xp cd in the drive and boot up. It shows master drive and the usb maxtor.
(some of you may have to go into setup and change boot from USB option)
I go to the delete or create par ion page and create a par ion on drive E then i pull out the cd so windows won't force me to continue. I unplug the PC and on the next boot up I click on start windows with last known configuration or normal boot.
hey, what do i have to lose? Well this time the Maxtor at least shows up in the my Computer folder after boot up but Recuva said it can't access it. So after some Googling I saw some guy offer another lady a program called Scavenger later I found out after downloading it off BtJunkie's really called FileScavenger. anyway that program if you use Deep scan does not ask for any MBR or HD files it starts to scan. Well after 19 hours I am up to 75% the problem is that its only the seek out the files it still takes another 8 hours to recover them and if you don't have at least 480 gbs the 500 gb recovery will stop. In my case my other drive was only 160 gbs so I was able to recover my music and a few movies.
The neat thing about the software it allows you to rename some of the files so they don't replace each other. so long story short use this before you give up on your data..................
Before you pay the over priced pros....................
A heads up! make sure you install the crack file or at least purchase the full version before you do your 4 to 8 hours scan. The Demo version only allows you to recover 112 kbs enough for 1/2 a picture,
I learned that lesson the hard way. I always slipstream my Windows install CD as soon as a service pack comes out.
Rack this vato! ^
