Halo is vastly overrated. Gears is way better.
http://gamer.tm/news.php?id=2995According to Gamer.tm, which cites an unspecified "industry insider," Bungie will be revealing its next le at an event in Europe next week. Bungie had planned to showcase the game at this year's E3, plans that were scrapped by its publisher, Microsoft.
Microsoft's Don Mattrick let slip during the E3 expo that the game was set in the Halo universe and that the le would be better served being shown at a "dedicated event." We're checking with Microsoft to see if the rumor has any validity, hoping that someone didn't dredge up and repurpose this old (and debunked) rumor.
Gamer.tm's source also points to a potential game reveal from Rare. That sounds a little less likely, as the UK developer still has Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts to wrap up and publicize. We'd recommend canceling any breath-holding you may have planned, but will update when we have anything further.

Both Gears and Halo are overrated. They're great games, but nothing spectacular.
No game really comes close to Oblivion IMO
Halo's not the greatest FPS ever created, but it certainly has plenty of merit. Despite being overrated by many, I'm still looking forward to Bungie's next Halo-related project.
I'll buy the next Halo and Gears, but probably just like the last games I played the single player and beat it then I tried online out and was not feeling it and sold them.
Call of Duty 4 on the other hand I beat the single player and keep going back for online play, not only do I still have it but I bought it for both my Xbox and PS3 too play with all my friends. I'm so scared of CoD5 tho.

I honestly wish there would also be a few more simulation type of games besides de arcade FPS. Something like Operation Flashpoint on the PC.
