If America thinks they are going to get a National Healthcare plan that isn't going to completely flatten our economy, America is ing stupid.

What these 2 debates have basically shown me is this- McCain is standing there apparently in shock that he is losing to Obama- a guy for whom he can not hide his contempt. It almost seems to me like he had no clue and he is pissed about it.

I don't think that there are too many people who view a candidate's platform as being absolutely what will happen when/if they take office. Our political system doesn't work that way.

For example, I support Obama not because I believe his healthcare plan is going to magically go into effect when he's sworn in, or because I think we're magically going to cut our dependence on foreign oil when he's sworn in, but because I think it's important to have someone in the white house who is working towards the same things I support. I don't know that Obama will be able to implement all of his plans, in fact I'm quite skeptical that he'd be able to even come close, but that doesn't make what he wants to do any less genuine or any less important to me as a voter.

Main thing...I realize now that beyond all doubt I am smarter than every journalist in America because if I hear one more of these idiots saying that mortgage refinancing plan for distressed homeowners is some kind new spending plan, I am going to go spit in their face. That's what the 700 billion is for to allow the govt to do that, that's always been a part of it...given that the plan is approved, and the 700 billion is most likely already spent, all of it, it's the one thing about that ing plan that is going to benefit the American people...and it's beats the out of foreclosing on all those mortages. It's not socialism...passing the ing bill was socialism. That refinancing plan is the thing that's going to up the value of those pieces of crap so they can become investments and be sellable. Plus it will lower the housepayments for millions of Americans.

Whole night was full of stuff like that...McCain gave speciffics and Obama talked in circles making no commitments.

And McCain even put a in the healthcare plan(not that it's feasible in our current economy anyway) and no one cares...


What about those fees if you aren't providing insurance...that's coercion.

* Eligibility: Holders of a sub-prime mortgage taken after 2005 who live in their home (primary residence only); can prove creditworthiness at the time of the original loan; are either delinquent, in arrears on payments, facing a reset or otherwise demonstrate that they will be unable to continue to meet their mortgage obligations; and can meet the terms of a new 30 year fixed-rate mortgage on the existing home.
