I think that ESPN picked that up from a fake news story. I wonder if it's really true.
A fake news story on Fox??
Are you crazy?
Well it's conjecture so far....I was on the Miami Herald website and it shows nothing about Shaq's injury other than being a strain...however if it's true....Karma's a .
As much as I don't wish that upon anyone, it's too bad that any superstar would be sidelined.
gotta be kidding me.....what did he tear?
I hope this isn't true. Not only is he good for the league, he's a comedic genius in my book.
There was a fake story up on the internet earlier today (not really on the Miami Herald site). I think (but I'm just guessing) that ESPNews picked up that fake story and then Fox is quoting ESPNews.
But who knows? I could be totally wrong and he could be out for the season.
This is horrible.
Shaq has worked his ass off to get in the best shape of his career and now this happens.
I feel so sorry for the Heat fans, who for the first time in their lives had hope at winning the championship....we Spurs' fans at least had the win in 99 before TD went down.
Detroit is now in the Finals for sure.
well, hopefully it's bs. i want the contenders at full strength. no excuses.
Jack Haley or Jimcs50 started this.

Shaquille O'Neal won't play before his injured knee is examined by doctors in Miami.
The Heat ruled the center out of Wednesday night's game against the Pacers, and spokesman Tim Donovan said O'Neal would fly home with the team and have an MRI taken Thursday.
His status for the Heat's next home game on Saturday against the Magic has not yet been determined.
O'Neal left the game against the Bulls on Tuesday night after landing awkwardly early in the first quarter. He fell onto Bulls forward Ot a Harrington, after going up for an alley-oop pass from Dwyane Wade, and stayed on the floor for several minutes - holding his knee.
He was then helped off the floor and into the locker room.
O'Neal played only two minutes against Chicago and didn't score. O'Neal, who missed a game in December due to a calf injury, is averaging 22.7 points and 10.4 rebounds in his first season with the Heat.link
Nothing on the Miami Herald site.
Nicely done, Jim.
Forge a web site, then write a sympathetic post.
Your best one yet.
it was one of those "Breaking News" things....The guy just said, "This just in....Shaq done for the season, etc..."
Ignite, I believe that you heard it. I'm just saying that I think they picked up a fake story.
If he's having a MRI tomorrow, how can they rule him out for the season already?
jimcs50 makes this time of the year Rather interesting.
dammit, now ESPNnews just retracted their statement. Doesn't look like a tear, and I don't think he is out for the season.
They haven't said anything more about it yet, but they apologized and said it was an incorrect report. More news will of course be ahead.
If his knee was as big as an oil drum this morning and they did a manual check...a good orthopod can probably be 99% on a bad tear...
I wouldn't have gotten that once except for SW .
glad it was a fake report...
All that weight on that knee ligament....he'll be out for a while..considering it's time for his usual time off.
Princess was right on in this one ... again.
