Defensively the Celtics are still right where they need to be locking teams down to around 90ppg on a consistent basis.

It's the offense that is killing them, and that falls squarely on Doc River's shoulders. Teams are starting to figure out that Rajon Rondo does not need to be guarded > 3ft away from the basket. He can't shoot, and more importantly he WON'T shoot unless the shot clock is running down. Once teams back off of him it limits the Celtics to ISO play from their Big 3 which is not as effective IMHO. It also makes Ray Allen completely useless as he has nobody to set him up for those dagger 3's.

I've always felt that Doc Rivers was given too much credit, he's not that great of a coach and has never been known as an X's and O's kind of guy. He is lucky to have Tom T. as defensive coordinator as that is what has made the Celtics as good as they are.

Yeah, Doc Rivers sucks as a coach. HORRIBLE!! If the Celtics had a good coach they'd be reigning champs and have the best record in the league.

We shall see how they do as the season progresses.

The lack of a bench and staleness in their offense will manifest itself as more losses. It would surprise me if ORL or CLE overtook BOS in the standings pretty soon.

It is time to give Tom Thibodeau his first head coaching assignment. The JVG protoge who knows defense inside and out but is a players coach. Tom Thibodeau actually wanted to open the Rockets offense up but was overridden by Van Gundy. I have always felt that if given the opportunity, Thibodeau could be a very very good NBA coach.

Why is it that the Mavs can run a fluid offense. But the Clippers with all the talent they have, run stupid ISO-ball on offense.

    Random Celtics fan

Fell asleep before the 4th quarter, come to see the Clippers lost because of overrated Doc Rivers

I literally watched every single game (2007-2013) of the Celtics Big 3. Knew that team in and out

    - No gameplan
    - No defensive system
    - No offensive system
    - No adjustments during a series
    - Has no clue how to build chemistry within a team

I'll say it, and I'll say it again. The Celtics Big 3 WOULD HAVE WON MORE LES IF DOC RIVERS WASN'T COACHING THAT TEAM

I'll never forgive him for losing that 2010 le that the Celtics were up 3-2 against the Lakers. He was the main cause of it. fukk that dude
