I'd go with Denver to get #8. They've been much better of late and have a home-heavy schedule (favorable) the rest of the way while LA and Minnesota still have some road work to do. Assuming that Denver does get in, though:
Are you talking about the season series? A playoff series is now a best-of-7, so 3-1 wouldn't quite get it done.
Actually, if the Spurs and Lakers got together again in the playoffs, it would be the 11th time since 1982 and 5 straight years. (SA and LA have played in 82 (WCF), 83 (WCF), 86 (1st), 88 (1st), 95 (WCSF), 99 (WCSF), 01 (WCF), 02 (WCSF), 03 (WCSF), and 04 (WCSF)).This would be how many times now that they meet in the playoffs? 4?
