Live, learn, move on. And lighten up!
I'm not sure I see the problem. In the REAL world REAL people put numbers on their REAL houses so other REAL people can find them.
BTW, people that think they are smarter than everyone else usually aren't. It appears that you are not an exception to that rule.
Live, learn, move on. And lighten up!
I think you had good intentions Cobra.
I can see both sides of the argument:
You being surprised at how your note was received-
After all, if your intent was to harm her, why would you caution her that the picture like that was dangerous and send her an e-mail detailing how you found her?
Her panic- It was a lot of information to take in at once and from a relative stranger.
But a bigger issue for me concerns you and that is:
Both your note and your myspace account could be given to the police as evidence if the girl chose to accuse you of stalking her, so your action put you at risk.
Personally though, I found your explanation to be very interesting. I think showed you to be someone with very intelligent reasoning- like someone from CSI.
I have thought of that. I don't think that would go anywhere. Thanks for the concern though.
Thanks again. I guess my biggest problem was that I didn't think. I am well versed in the sciences. I knew how to solve what to me was a puzzle by instinct rather than thought. Puzzles like this are just mind candy to me. I just hope some freak out there didn't locate her like I did before she took the photos down.
At least she took them down. She only needed to remove the one with the house number, but she took all her house pics down.
You're welcome.
Wisdom and intelligence are not the same thing!
Exactly.
no kidding. i'd guess the happiest woman in the world is ex-mrs.wildcobra.
I can't speak for the boys, but most teenage girls learn how to stalk by they time they are teenagers.
Now, don't go undermining Cobra's 99+++++++++ intelligence, SW.
you hear that wild cobra? now you're a teenaged girl.
actually, that woman found out what we already know about wild cobra.
Of course, when I was a teenager there was no Google maps and whatnot ... we had to rely on old fashioned detective work and binoculars. The old way was much more challenging and fun, IMO.
It was a dumb thing to say. My thought process is not like most others.
Most, but not all. I've always been too lazy for that .
Cobra you need this guy.
Well, I'm a female and I know you were looking out for her best interests. But, pointing it out to her, made her realize that you took the time to find out where she lived and that's just creepy!
You freaked her out!
No . Almost exactly what she told me.
Man, that was cold. I am no big fan of WC, but even I wouldn't imply that him scaring girls off is the best thing to happen to them.
Bingo.
You gave her the right bit of information:
"Be careful about what you post on the internet"
... but went about it in the wrong way.
Not knowing how to get pussy or what makes a woman tick is one thing, posting your ignorant unsuccessful attempts at hooking up with the opposite sex and failing miserably on a message board is beyond human comprehension.
Mind candy.
