It was Dirks first game after injury. I think if the Mavs are healthy (with Damp, Finley and Dirk) they are a very strong team. Beatable of course, but strong!
Problem is, Mavs don't have any real clutch scorers. Sure, Dirk or Finley will win a game here or there, but they can struggle getting late scores in tight games.
If the spurs can beat them three times why not the Lakers?

It was a great win for your team!!!, granted but relax. Just solidifies your eventual #9 seed (Oh that rights, the Nuggets will most likely make playoffs and Lakers at home s/p reg. season). This is good it gives you less chance at the miracle ping pong ball which Stern is dying to give to the Fakers.
Conversely the Spurs or Suns are drooling at the prospect of playing the Lakers if by some miracle they eke in - they are not a scary team like a Denver or Wolves. Just not enough firepower even with Kobe period.
Um, go Lakers! You know, the Lakers have won the last 3 out of 4, I'm pretty happy right now.
