Never played that one, but I can vouch for the MVP series. I don't really like many of the baseball games.
Thinking about getting it. Haven't bought a baseball game in a while. Just wanted to know if anyone has bought it and how it was.

I purchased this game not too long ago. It is a great play, I say get it!
MVP 2005 is made by EA Sports and i just got it a couple weeks back and it's tight as .
Not trying to be rude, but is cursing allowed on this board? I mean, it's only a game yet atlfan still must use a profane word. Geeezzz....
i could give a , i'll use godamn profane words whenever i godamn please u son of a .
See, that's bad. It must be a Texas thing...
What Tha !!!!!!!!!!??????????????????????????? Beans = Moron
Come on TX3COAST. I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about ATL. He was the one who cursed.
thats in right doggie
The only good thing I liked about MVP 2005 was the fact that it had more minor league teams and 720p HD.
Other than that, it's kind of the exact same game as last year.
the pitching is tougher, the hitting is better cuz there is no righty bias in this game. and there are many many other small differences that make it better. probably only people who know the game well would notice. i also like how when customizing a player, it's much more specific.
Well, went and bought it yesterday and it's pretty cool. I like the minor league deal. It's neat to see the Missions in there and the new Corpus Christi Hooks team. Funny to be able to see the Missions playing the Yankees or other MLB teams. Glad a bought it.
That would be hilarious. What is even funnier is the Corpus Christi Hooks mascot's name..is Rusty. I can see it now. "The first 500 people to the ballpark next Saturday get a free tetanus shot!"
Oh and Beans? People outside of Texas curse too.
I've been a baseball fan almost as long as you've been alive, and I'm 24..
If EA wanted to focus on a better baseball experience, then they needed to work on the audio.
For those that haven't played 2004, it's new to you, but for those that did, it's the exact same thing.
it's not exactly the same. i like 2005 better, and not just because of the updated rosters, for all the things i mentioned. there are also other things like the hitters eye that i dont use but others might like it, and the extra pitching and hitting games you can use to practice. there is also a lot more options in it.
are the names on the minor league teams the real names or are they made up?
the way it seems, is that unless it's a top minor league prospect, it's not their real names.
Yeah that pisses me off to no end.
Just pay whoever holds the rights to the names of the minor leaguers, and freakin put em in there.
Id like to promote Wainwright, Thompson, Reyes, Journell, and Parott, but they arent ON THERE!!!!!
