parker kept the spurs in this game. if anything, blame should shift to the next member of the big 3, tim duncan. it's not just duncan's fault though, no one else really stepped up. just parker against the celtics.
Drew Gooden stepped up but he didn't finish the game like I wanted him to. I knew Pop wouldn't do that.

spurs are struggling on their threes because duncan hasn't been commanding much of a double team. duncan is disappearing in the post, settling on jump shots, and just plain missing. no distraction from duncan means more pressure on the shooters.
...except we're still getting wide open shots and simply not knocking them down.

Can't agree with you on this one.

Our defense is solid and so is our rebounding.

Our outside shooting has gone south.

Shots were open tonight so tonight it wasn't because of Tim not creating space.

Of course, it is true that if Tim can't command double teams than it will be much tougher for our "shooters" to make 3s.

Nevertheless, Tony's penetration also creates these open shots too.

And if Manu comes back and is able to go to the rim at full speed, then he can also create the shots for our "shooters"

We were undermanned. The Celtics had KG back, but he didn't play that many minutes.

Bottom line, we should have won this game, even without Manu. The third quarter and those missed free throws were what cost us the game, not the absence of Manu Ginobili. This game was there to be had and we didn't grab it.

TP carried us throughout all the game, He failed to deliver at the end with his FTs.

As I believe that some fatigue has to be taken into account, TP was aggressive and sacrificed his body against physical interior defense by Boson, he has never been a clutch FT shooter. He kind of cost the French team the qualification for the Olympics (Diaw missed also clutch FTs).

Big props to Thomas. He's been playing great.

The D looked very good tonight

FTs at the end killed us but what's worst than FTs is Mason playing PG. When TP sits and Mason plays we have NOTHING on O.

He holds the ball too much and the offence get stagnant. No more Mason PG, JV would do a better job and that shows how bad is Mason at PG

    shote 56% from stripe

TP always misses free throws at the end of the game.

What is his excuse. You suck Ducks always bashing Manu and wanting him traded.

When the game in on the LINE YOU NEED SOMEONE WITH BALL LIKE MANU.

    you know he's injured, right?
and he'll probably remain like this for the rest of the season, especially in the playoffs when his minutes will go up. duncan's game has always been reliant on his intelligence, not athleticism.

And now this game has become a circus.

Nothing to worry about here. We are in an offensive funk lately, but the D is really starting to look like Spurs D. The O will come back. Good to get these yips out of the way now before the playoffs.
hopefully the offense returns because they are repeating exactly what they did last year. Play great defense but the slow down pace makes it excruciatingly hard for the Spurs to score. They need to create turn overs so their fast breaks increase.

Ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly loss. Everyone is en led to some misses at the free throw line, but still ...
Timmy doesn't look very good, by the way. I'm certain we'll see more made threes (and FT) on Sunday.

Exactly it was a total choke job which is on TONY and FINLEY tonight. You cannot praise them for playing a great game when they totally choked.
