this is the worst basketball weekend I have had in a long long time

Spurs go 0-2, losing both games they should have and could have won.

UT loses to Duke in a game they win if they make their FTs.

Houston takes over 1st in the Division, every other team behind the Spurs won as well.

THIS WEEKEND AND MAKE IT GO AWAY FROM MY BRAIN.

It's understandable - times are hard. In this economy you've got to economize, and $3 million for a second-banana big man is just not a justifiable expense, when you can pay $4 million for Kurt Thomas and $4 million for Fab Oberto and $3 million for Matt Bonner and $1.5 million for Drew Gooden instead.

i want the rockets so badly in the playoffs with a healthy manu.
give that up already folks, Manu was not a key player in this game! The Spurs had a in' 5+ point lead and they couldn't keep it in the final god damn moments.......

I still don't get why our franchise player never touches the ball late in the games.

Should there not have been 1 second left on the shot clock?

    Awesome line for Scola!

Good game guys! Spurs still a very tough playoff team.

Ugh did you see the horrible defense Tim played. Gave Scola an open lay up when we had the lead.
It wasn't Tim's fault, when Thomas and Parker went to inexplicably double Brooks, Tim got caught in between Scola and Yao and couldn't play them both.

Scola sure did feel like making a point this game. Last 2 possessions Yao ->>>>>>> Scola, 2pts on both of them!

Great game San Antonio, see you in the second round (knock on wood)

Luis Scola 19 points, 17 rebounds, 3 steals (wow)
17 Rebounds and two of them were clutch.

and I don't even care about Scola anymore, but I gotta say I agree with Pop now, it pisses you off enough to make you spit when you see a statline like that for a big game.

I have no response after this one...what can you say, over the last few weeks I've gone from being a frustrated fan to just not giving a crap anymore.

You just can't judge this team the way its currently cons uted, and with the injuries this year. But at the same time, both the Celtics and the Rockets have dealt with injuries, so its not an excuse.

which is were manu helps you dumbass, hes our ing closer.

absolutely no excuse for the spurs to choke away a 6pt lead but theres a reason why we arent executing during the closing minutes.

Wrong this game is on both the leaders of the Spurs. Tim played his best game point wise, but something is still off. As for Tony just couldn't come up with the big basket at the end

we made some bad decisions at the end -- leaving Yao and Scola in the last possession. Very un-Spurs like.

In the bigger picture though, we lost this game because of our trademark ugly second quarter drought.

The Rockets just made one more shot than we did. No big deal. Still ahead in the loss column, so don't get excited Rockets.

Tim was in' awful when he went back into the game for Kurt, Yao shut him down.....so why would he get the ball if he was cold?

i'm talking specifically about that last play when scola got the open lay up to take the lead for good.
