Let the Rockets enjoy their regular season moment in the Sun. Everybody knows they don't have what it takes to win a Championship. Props to the rockets for a regular season game win-you deserve tonight's win. Enjoy the win while you can because it will be short lived. Book it!

For those Spurs fans ready to call our season over because of these last 2 losses-Wake up! There will still be some tough transitioning to go through when Manu gets back and I imagine Pop will put Gooden in a lot more to play with Ginobili. Post season wins are the only wins that matter. You should know that by now. Damn...

Without McGrady they will make it past the first round.

what? its true. hes been playing GREAT and has carried us all season long, but honestly hes never been much of a cold blooded closer in the very end. im not hating its just the facts, thats why when Manu plays he gets the ball in that situation, hes been more of a proven game closer and you can always count on him to hit clutch freethrows(unlike anyone else in spurs history)
Didn't timvp destroy this myth about Manu being some superclutch finisher and Parker being a scrub? I remember he posted some stats putting Manu's end of game shooting percentage at something like 27%.

Marital problems maybe...Mario banging Eva and all
I dont see any reason why Mario get that close to Eva, I mean BFF, that looks like a cheatin to me.....distraction is the last thing that TP need. Pop also make some bad decisions on Mason and Udoka mix...i know coach make mistakes sometimes but it getting repe ive although in different forms. Hoenstly Phil Jackson is doing better job than Pop, maybe Pop should learn some of his thinking and turn this condition around

LOL... maybe we should let H-Town keep the #2 seed, since they'd have to go against Utah (the current #7) in the first round again.

I'm new to this forum so I never heard about such myth-busting, but check this out:

They are last year's but that's the last time Manu was healthy and in rythm.

Check the numbers over the span of the last three playoffs.

Unfortunately, he doesn't have a choice. It's a consequence of cir stances.
and the cir stances are: Tim is not in his best shape, Manu is out and our perimeter shooters are going through a bad time (except Finley for a while, Udoka tonight, Bonner & Mason before), probably because of opponents' defense adjustments. Usually Spurs' opponents used to clog the lane and challenge the Spurs to beat them from the perimeter, recently they seemed not to leave the perimeter shooters open and, since they don't really need to double team Tim Duncan, it does not mean Parker has a highway to the basket... With Manu, who is a perimeter shooter but also can attack the basket, things will go better -hopefully.

A two point loss is a meltdown for some.

Win or lose this game the spurs will not be winning this year anyways. It didn't matter at all what happened in the last two games.

It's actually a combination of several knee-jerk threads that happened right after the game. Hence the le.

Well ... I for one am not surprised by the recent losses. I lost belief in this group as a championship-caliber club back in Jan. This is a team that can knock off 1-2 teams in the playoffs, nothing more.

But yes, if they keep this up, this is a first-round exit waiting to happen. They will not beat L.A., and might have trouble with Portland, New Orleans, or Utah as well.

Someone needs to get Don Quixote a doctor. I think he just broke his ankles jumping off the bandwagon. When we make your re ed prediction a fallacy, i don't even want to see you try and act like your a true fan of this team.

The only team I think that can knock the Spurs out of the playoffs other than the Lakers is Portland. We do not do well against athletic teams. I am not worried about Houston because Gooden will shut down Scola and Manu will be back. The problem for Houston is they are in the same boat. Defensive teams will not fair well in the playoffs this year unless they play a super high physical game. The only way to beat LA will be to out score them. I do not think you will be allowed by the NBA to have a chance to win otherwise. There is no physical team playing right now in the NBA that can play the type of D needed.

I might need a doctor. Never said I didn't. And I'm not on any bandwagon. All I'm saying is that the Spurs look like a team that can make it to the conference semis or finals IF they catch the right team and have their guys healthy. But they are NOT beating L.A. in the WCF or any other time, with or without Manu. They'd be fortunate to take it to 6.

That's all. Just being objective, friend.

I see a lot of people getting personal in this thread. No need to get personal, the important thing is that the Spurs are playing well enough to win games. As for the Rockets? They just came out and scored one more basket than we did....no big deal, no talent required there. Any team can win on any given night in this league in the regular season...all it means was they made their shots. No big deal. The Rockets have never been out of the first round. They score one more bucket than the Spurs and all of a sudden people think it means that they're going to the WCF's.

We will just have to wait and see. If we are not healthy I agree we lose to the Lakers, if we are healthy get ready for a of a series and when we prevail you will look like a re trying to act like you are a fan. I really hope you come around, friend.

About 90% of the people who posted here need to just chill the out.

You're either a Spurs fan, or you're not. ing about a loss or trying to convince everyone else why you're right is a complete waste of ing time.

For those of you who are whining and ing and moaning: grow a .

The rest of us will keep believing. I'll believe in this team through the end, and next year, and the year after, whether we take it all or exit in the first round. That's what being a true fan is all about.

TP is tired? injured? having sex the previous nite???
He played 22 of the 24 second half minutes. This is a well-do ented gripe on the board.

Plus, I sure he nailed Eva before the game.
