Cuts!!!
We can't afford to keep them unless we raise taxes and cut benefits, but how do you turn that into a campaign slogan?
According to data from Taxpayers for Common Sense, Rep. Barton sponsored 13 earmarks worth $181,311,000 for Fiscal Year 2008.

holy !!!!!!
Yeah, but those are good earmarks...not at all like those bad earmarks all the other Reps and Senators indulge in.
CS doesn't realyze how little all the ear mrks add up to
You get over 500 of these guys doing the same thing and what do you think happens?
So What!! It's a start. It's like your personal budget. You can spend a couple of bucks here and 5 bucks there - taken alone it's not very much, but add it all up over the course of a month and suddenly you don't have enough money to pay the phone bill!
Everybody says their project is just such a small percentage of the total budget. I don't care - earmarks should be outlawed. If the project is a worthy one, then let it come before the House and Senate on a vote.
I guess I'll ask Joe Barton about all those earmarks - he says he wants to hear from his cons uents.
That's what we've been saying all along about the tea party.
You didn't really expect anyone to actually believe that pile of bull , did you?
non-partisan my ass.

That's okay - we really didn't expect anything different. Just keep believing that and this movement can fly under the radar - kinda like the Spurs!
I hear that political movements work really well under the radar.
Can never answer straight forward, has to always answer a question with another question. Not not you tubby.
yeah, I would call a fraction of a percent of the electorate flying under the radar. In fact, I'd be surprised if a radar could detect that small of a blip.
You know why Tio Sam spends so much? To pay for SS and Medicare for your family. As for defense, does the budget need to be a half tril per annum (admittedly that seems like a bargain here in the age of bailouts, but still)?
Is your family ready to make do with less?
http://www.dentonrc.com/sharedconten....dc4bdc93.htmlSan Antonio police estimated that 4,000 to 5,000 people packed a plaza for a tea party outside the Alamo, one of the state’s iconic symbols of independence.
538 has non partisan estimates around 300,000 nation wide. Sorry, but thats simply not very impressive.
our grandchildren nothin.
We're gonna be economic slaves if something doesn't give in 10 years.
Taxed Enough Alreadyed?
I didn't expect anything more than Republicans ing about Obama -- which is exactly what happened.
Yeah, it was really under the radar when the Republican PACs and Fox News took it over and pimped it 24/7.Just keep believing that and this movement can fly under the radarExactly like Astroturf. The people are being used once again and they love it.kinda like the Spurs!
To be fair, he didn't say "black people".lol
about as stupid as faux(foe) news. just go along with it.
And from the SA Tea Party blog
SAPD Confirms Crowd Size at 20,000
Apparently the Express-News must have come really early, because the SAPD has run the numbers using their geometric grid system, and have confirmed that the crowd size was about 20,000 at it's height.
I don't appreciate America being spelled with a "k".
