What on earth is the matter with these people? She's presenting herself in a public forum (the pageant), dropping enormous value judgments on people, and she forgot these pictures existed? Or was she naive enough to think they wouldn't come out?

Yeah, I didn't care about this story or her position AT ALL until I heard about the topless photos. Now I'd just assume see her hung in the gallows of public opinion. Where does she get off moralizing about a "family values" issue?

Perez Hilton is a massive hypocrite too, unless asking a question in front of a national audience is only so that you can hear the answer you want or be able to go on a tirade.
This whole situation is full of stupidity caused by an idiot who wants to have as much of the limelight as possible so he can feel important on his blog.
It cracks me up that people are riding this woman for expressing an opinion that's "contrary to human rights" when she's in the MIDDLE OF A BEAUTY PAGEANT.
Let's review:
A gay blogger who's done nothing to gain fame except report about the various shenanigans and embarrassing moments of the lives of celebrities volunteers/gets nominated and accepts/whatever to be on a beauty compe ion where sex-objects (that is, cosmetically altered women with plastic boobs) parade around in swimsuits in order to show off their feminine parts in the most provocative way possible for a cable television audience. Said gay blogger then asks and extremely personal trap question with obvious bias and only one politically correct answer to a contestant, and protests the fact that her divergent response is intolerant of human rights. Now he's posting semi-nude photos of her (nothing really beyond what we see in a beauty pageant so far) and proclaiming how much of a hypocrite she is.
Is this a correct summation?
So apparently Perez Hilton is just fine with the sexual objectification of women, but he REALLY draws the line at who is allowed to marry who! What a champion of morality he (and every single person that supports this hoopla) is!

You know what doesn't make you a hypocrite in this situation? If you're going to protest the fact that we are supposed to be leaders of the free world and we still have freaking beauty pageants in this country. It's amazing that I've heard such nasty things said about Carrie Prejean in this thread and yet not one person has stepped up and said, "Hey, maybe we should get over being condescending wads and actually get riled up about the fact that something this shallow and vapid continues to exist."
Not gonna happen anytime soon though, is it?

Not sure but in the interest of fairness, I volunteer to see the pictures and determine whether or not she should keep her crown. As an impartial observer of course.

What makes you think there are any? You're really putting money on Perez Hilton's word that there are more pics? I'd almost put money against that, because his word is pretty much the opposite of what cons utes reliable facts. He just needed more ammo when he ranted against her so that he'd have the fangirl support of his community looking to decry someone.
Miss California USA Carrie Prejean has assured pageant officials that a lingerie modeling photo published online this week is the only one she posed for, the state pageant director said.
But the Web site that published the first picture said it has several more that it will "slowly roll out" starting Wednesday afternoon.
The possibility that racier images could emerge prompted "closed-door meetings" Tuesday to consider stripping Prejean of her beauty queen le, pageant spokesman Ron Neal said...
State pageant officials met Tuesday with lawyers and representatives of Donald Trump, who owns the international compe ion, to consider if they had grounds to take the crown away from Prejean, according to Neal.
"When you compete for Miss California, you're supposed to disclose whether you posed for nude or semi-nude photos because it's grounds for disqualification," he said.
CNN obtained a copy of the pageant contract Prejean signed last year in which she agreed that the discovery of semi-nude photos could mean disqualification.
...But the other shoe -- or other garment -- may be yet to drop.
Nik Richie -- of TheDirty.com -- said he has waited for an upgrade of his Web site's servers to handle the flood of traffic he expects will come after he posts the additional photos.
"I will slowly roll these out," Richie said.
The next image will likely be published Wednesday afternoon, he said.
"We'll see what happens with those and we want to know who's releasing them," Neal said.

Meh, She didn't make the remarks at the Miss California pageant, she did it at the Miss USA pageant as Miss California. They're doing this because of the photos.
Moakler has been ing about Prejean since the pageant.
