the government health agency can't function without Sebelius.
Swine flu map
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...5.488281&z=5);
For those who care, all students and family of students from Steele High School have been quarantined and parents are not even supposed to go to work. They have even been placed on the no-fly lists and are not allowed to board a plane.
CDC doesn't need Sibelius to give it orders.
I bet the MXs killed by the flu are poor, poorly fed
my cousin lives in the schertz & cibolo area. really near steele hs. we are going to cali this weekend...
you tellin me she cant go because she is on the no fly lists?
where is the no fly list at? how do they determine this?
Does she go to Steele? It is my understanding that these students have been notified that they have been placed on the no-fly list. I have a family member who qualified for a national compe ion and he was supposed to fly to Florida on Tuesday, but they told him he can not go and he can not get on a plane.
NO!O!!!!! We're all gonna die!!!!! :X :X
What's she going to do? The same thing Obama's doing... put the CDC on it and ask for daily updates.
Damn Republicans!
What? No board Republicans have been blaming Obama yet? I'm floored.
This one is for Galileo...
What the plausibility of this mutation being created by some pharma company and releasing it into the wild in Mexico?
I didn't realize we were such close neighbors.
That would be dumb to blame a political party for a flu outbreak....................wait, sorry Bali.
It has pushed torture off the front pages too.
Google *swine flu* *NWO* and *beta test.*
This company is making the vaccines.
The end of Mexico is near. They just had a major earthquake on top of the virus.
Best solution might be to drop a couple of H bombs
Not giving any of this credence, mind you, just passing on some reporting in the suggested vein.
Cheney created the virus in his bunker/biolab.

[Karl Rove] dismissed Obey's proposals as "disturbing" and "laden with new spending programs." He said the congressman was peddling a plan based on "deeply flawed assumptions."
Like what?
Rove specifically complained that Obey's proposal included "$462 million for the Centers for Disease Control, and $900 million for pandemic flu preparations."
This was wrong, the political operative charged, because the health care sector added jobs in 2008.
As bizarre as that criticism may sound -- especially now -- Rove's argument was picked up by House and Senate Republicans, who made it an essential message in their attacks on the legislation. Even as Rove and his compatriots argued that a stimulus bill should include initiatives designed to shore-up and maintain any recovery, they consistently, and loudly, objected to spending money to address the potentially devastating economic impact of a major public health emergency.
...which a majority Democratic Congress passed and Obama signed into law. No heroes here. Just another gruesome day at the sausage plant.Senate Democratic leaders bowed to Collins in the process of crafting their chamber's version of the stimulus. In doing so, they eliminated more than 80 percent of the modest amount of money that had been allocated for pandemic preparedness -- and all of the money that would have helped emergency services.
Collins played politics with public health, and the economic recovery. That makes her about as bad a player as you will find in a town full of bad players.
But Senate Democrats bent to her demands. That makes them, at the very least, complicit in the weakening of what needed to be a muscular plan.
The bottom line is that there were no heroes in either party on the Senate side of the ugly process that ridiculed and then eliminated pandemic preparedness funding.
Perhaps the one Donnie RumRum was CEO of and mass produced the cure which was readily bought up by the fed government under Bush..
dun dun DUuuuuuunnn
Maybe, maybe not.
I just hope to Christ this doesn't end up being included in the parade of horrible ironies.
btw, when did the axiom "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" become a contemptible liberal/liberal-fascist/socialist/communist/hippie/secular-progressive trope that must be opposed, for the love of Reagan, by all faithful conservatives?
p.s. Congressional Dem cowardice FTL, once again.

Any fourth grader could figure out that it hurts the economy if many workers are sick and dying from the flu. Now we are threatened with a swine flu pandemic.
Collins got her wish getting the pandemic preparedness stripped from the bill in exchange for her vote--and then voted against the bill anyway! Not only is she STUPID, she is also untrustworthy. The people of Maine should be ashamed of themselves for electing an imbecile to the Senate.

COLLINS = GOP = FLU
This has just removed the piece on her website touting her opposition to some 780 million in funds for pandemic flu preparedness.

Oh silly GOP, can never really think it all out before acting. Sounds like something happening in the Middle East...
No Problem, we got Obama to keep us safe.
