Right now, I cannot stand the Celtics...everytime they pan out to KG on the sidelines making that scrunchy tough man face, I want to throw something! . So yea, I'm on board to the Cav Express.

Out of all the superstars in the league, Lebron is probably the easiest to cheer for. He doesn't come with the at ude and selfishness of Kobe, he doesn't come with the referee and drama queen exageration like DWade, and his teammates actually seem to enjoy playing with him.

Dallas and Houston I could give a less if they are from Texas. Anybody but the Lakers though. Even Dallas or Houston.

I'm on the Cavs bandwagon for now, but people who say it's because they are basically like the Spurs because they have an old assistant coach(Mike Brown) and Danny Ferry. That's kind of a dumb cop out to make themselves feel better. I couldn't agree less, but I don't mind the Cavs so I'mma root for them.

Let's judge the merits of cheering for the Cavs not by supporting the team itself, but let's think about the poor bas s of Ohio. When was the last le win for a professional franchise in that state? How's their manufacturing economy going? How's the weather there? How's the food/tourism/nightlife? With the rest of the league re-tooling when will their next chance come? How much do you (as a Spurs fan or otherwise) dislike the Lakers? And one might feel a little bad (as a Spurs fan) for busting up the last Cleveland run with such sweeping dominance. Oh, and let's not forget the famous M.J. shot, which might be the most recognizable Cavs scene of their whole existence as a franchise (a heartbreaking losing effort). All things considered, their has been no joy in Cleveland for decades. Punch my ticket, I'll take this train. Woo-woooo!

I still have roots in Houston so that is who I am with until they are eliminated. After that I am hitched up to the Cavs bandwagon. I would rather dig out my intestines with a spoon before rooting for the Lakers.

I'm in with the Cavs. Looks like the Celtics don't have the guns this year without KG and all I see being real contenders are the Lakers and the Cavs. Nuggets have to prove they can do it first before I will admit to them being in that category. Same goes for the Magic IMO.

So it's San Antonio North for me with Brown and Ferry and I think there are a few others but don't remember their names.

Give people room on that ship. The elbows seem devastating. I personally have an ethical problem with cheering for any team from Florida (home to Disneyworld, hurricanes (actual ones), boy-bands, red tide, horrible pop-punk emo, alligators, white trash north/ old people to the South, swampland, sickening shows of flaunting cash, south beach diet, Jeb Bush, en led y nationals, shirts with no sleeves, truly odd criminals, mosquitoes that I'm convinced carry plagues, the Karankawa indians (who had red hair and ate people according to a social studies paper that I had to write when I was eight), spring break debauchery, my bubbe, Vanilla Ice lied about being from there, sh*tty election officials, shark bites and the state is shaped like a phallus). Gives me terror shivers just thinking about visiting. Nuff' said, I think.

There is no greater sign that your team is on top than seeing how hated they are around the league. The fact that THIS Laker team can generate so much hate is a good sign to me. Shows me the Lakeshow is back on top again.

Enjoy the offseason Spur fans !
That means you hold our site high. You say around the league but you are obvious retorting to the hate on this thread. This is only a small demograph and you come up with that assumption. THanks.

By the way WE HATE THE LAKERS EVEN IF THEY WERE IN LAST PLACE. FTL!!!

    GO NUGGETS!

The key is to root for a team that has a chance. @ rooting for teams like the Mavs, Rockets or Bulls. They don't stand a chance. It looks like it'll be either the Lakers, Cavs or maaaaaaybe the Nuggets if they stay extremely hot.

But the Lakers are the Lakers and the Nuggets have tried to kill Manu too often for me to root for them. That leaves the Cavs who happen to be built in the Spurs' image.

    Easy choice.

...Or, you could take a break from basketball until next season...get that much deserved vacation.

I don't want Kobe or Phil to ever win another ring. I want Kobe to be remembered as the guy who couldn't win without Shaq. So go Cavs!

So they should watch a Laker game live?

FTL. San Antonio North got this. They were built by a Spur, coached by a Spur and use Spur schemes. FTL.

    FTL. Go Cavs. FTL.

    Who's on board?
I'll go with that one. I have thought they would win it all this year from about the middle of the season on. Two of the best things to happen to them were 1) us beating them so bad in the finals in 07, and 2) bringing in x-Spurs for coach and gm. Lebron is a beast....the league has never seen anything like him, and he's hungry.
