Anybody interested in this guy? His rebounding and shot blocking numbers are eye-catching.

Hes a little older and skinny, but I always liked him, a lot of sites say he will go in the first round though.
I agree. He measured just 1/4 inch short of 6'10' in shoes so he's one of those very rare examples of someone who's even taller than advertised. I see him all over the place in mock drafts. Definitely very interesting if he's still around past the 30s. Except for Thabeet, Gibson has the largest wingspan in the draft, at 7'4". Maybe he could be an Anthony Randolph type?

The draftexpress mock draft currently has Gibson going 36th... one pick before the Spurs. Could he be this year's Carl Landry?

DraftExpress has indicated that Gibson could go as high as 20 to Utah. That would shake things up in the draft.
With Richard Jefferson guaranteed to start at SF now, guys like Jerebko, Green, and Claver might be a little less likely draftwise, while Taj Gibson might've just jumped a few spots on the Spur wish list.
Probably a likely conjecture.
I would love that move.
I think if hes there around 25 the spurs should try and get this guy, shot blocking and rebounding exactly what we need. Maybe we can get the thunder's 25th pick.
Would rather have Pendergraph.
I think there could be at least a couple of guys available at 37 who could potentially develop into starters at some point, such as Derrick Brown and Jermaine Taylor. I don't see that in Gibson, who doesn't have much of a ceiling. If by some off chance he slid to 51 I'd take him no questions asked, but not at 37.
Same here.
I can see that... it's a close call. Pendergraph is 2 years younger and has 25 more lbs of bulk to his advantage. Both played in the PAC 10 against similar compe ion. Here are the major numbers:
Gibson
33.7 mpg
14.3 ppg on 60.1 FG%
9.0 rpg
2.9 bpg
1.0 spg
Pendergraph
32.5 mpg
14.5 ppg on 66 FG%
8.2 rpg
0.9 bpg
0.5 spg
Right now, draftexpress is predicting Gibson will go 27th and Pendergraph 43rd, although they themselves also rank Pendergraph one spot ahead of Gibson on their own chart of draft eligible PFs. Today is actually Gibson's birthday. He turned 24.
