It has to be that the Spurs didn't truly want him. Perhaps they told him the team wasn't willing to match the Celtics' offer. The timing is just too weird to mean anything else.
I know one Spurs fan who didn't want him.

I wonder if this was really the case. I don't think they were that aggressive for a reason, I really don't think they believed that he would work here. I think they are looking for younger and cheaper alternatives. We can find a younger guy to jack up three pointers. Wallace was old and not nearly as effective as a defensive player from what I saw from him last year.
I don't think you read the part that you didn't highlight...

As a mentor for our young bigs... Dice>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Sheed
This is why I was never really big on Sheed and wanted Dice to come to the Spurs. Considering most our frontcourt has never played an NBA game we don't need a headcase. Plus after watching a whole team quit in the close out game against the Cavs the only one who showed heart and tried to win the game was Dice. That showed the heart of a champion and the kind of mentor we need. I think most haven't really watch either of them play this year otherwise they would realize its not a big lost and would prefer Dice.

    What do you think?

There is no certainty. Certainty is, in all things, an illusion.

Actually I don't know.....just wondering if there were rumors out there that the spurs may try to lock him up.......

I guess this is because the Spurs did not truly show interest. Wonder why? If the Spurs end up with Bass or Big Baby I will throw the f up.

That's an f'ing shame. I really think the FO is going to go half assed here after a promising start. We are ed without big man help and there are hardly many options left.

So Bonner would still be our starting center LOL
Yes, Ron Howard will still be manning the center position with reckless abandon.

I find it hard to believe sheed would up with Boston before even listening to the Spurs. Sorry Spurs with Sheed are better then Celtics with him. Is he gonna come off the bench now for Bos?

Boston is not a contender anylonger. I would be shocked if they were higher than the 4th seed next season. Spurs with Sheed have a real shot at a le.
Must've been one uva dinner the Celtics took him to.

It's a given that Wallace isn't the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to basketball smarts, but when it comes to buisness. Damn!!! I mean to not even try the market on your offers??? What a dumbass...

Gasol would be awesome, but I don't like the idea of trading Roger Mason. He was unreal in the regular season as the 2 guard, and we need someone to share minutes with ginobili. So unless the grizz are ok with a re ed deal for them to get marc over here, I can't see it. But then again, we are talking about the griz

Antonio McDyess has just been removed from the Detroit Pistons roster over on Yahoo: NBA. Glern Davis is still showing up on Boston's roster. McDyess's name was there an hour ago. And Fab is still listed. I thought Detroit released him Friday???

Hmmm, R.C. do you have something you would like to tell us Spurs fans?

This is sad. Rasheed seemed like he would have been the perfect complement to Tim.

Watch the Spurs end up re-signing Oberto and calling it an offseason.

He doesn't have an insane contract. It's 7.65mil expiring. Bonner and Finley and a first might get it done.

They can't sign until July 8.
