I see Mr Insecurity showed up. That didn't take long.

Of course. The rest will be along soon.
So how old are you??
I always whistle past the graveyard too.
Hopefully he'll keep producing like he has in the past but I'm going to temper my enthusiasm due to his age. Good signing considering what was available and that Matt Bonner was starting last season, but I'm still not sure that big rotation is solid as it stands.
Doesn't matter, I'm gonna enjoy watching his team go down.
You'll see a lot of ing and blaming the refs for their losses, when in reality, their team will get out played.
Nice run while it lasted, house.
A season full of injuries and the Lakers took full advantage.
Looks like there's another team with an asterisk on 1 of their championships.
That's all well and good, but did you see who was starting alongside Duncan last season? If you don't think there's a huge improvement there you are teh moron.
It's not just him...they added Blair too. And Ian has athleticism.
Although the messenger is obnoxious, the message may have some truth.
The Thomas-McDyess analogy is one that has to worry Spurs fans a bit. (It certainly occurred to me.)
That said, Thomas had been playing on drastically reconstructed knees for 10 years by the time the Spurs got him.
McDyess will likely fare better. In fact, from a physical or athletic perspective, I would have been much more worried had the Spurs aquired Wallace.
McDyess has been playing on drastically reconstructed knees for even longer than 10 years so I don't see your point.
His skillset is NO different than Kurt Thomas. Your basically getting a replacement for what you lost in the RJ trade. What you needed was an upgrade, you didn't get it.
Hmm, so Kurt Thomas and Antonio McDyess have the same athleticism?
Goodnight Stephen A.
McDyess never had the severity of knee problems that Thomas had. Thomas basically retired for a year or two and worked as an assistant coach for the Knicks while they tried to figure out if he'd ever play again -- and that was 10 years ago.
Thomas also had foot problems...
No jumping ability.
McDyess is 180 degrees different...
There skillset is different. Antonio McDyess is a lot more mobile than Kurt Thomas. Therefore he can defend the pick and role extremely better than Kurt could.
And on offense McDyess can actually pump fake and create off the dribble if the defender over commits running out to contest the mid-range.
Kurt is the better one on one post defender on the block. But with everything else McDyess is more mobile and versatile than Kurt. Offensively and defensively.
McDyess is an upgrade.
You have clearly NOT watched him play at all last season. The only offense you get from McDyess are his wide open midrange jumpers. That's it.
McDyess = Kurt Thomas. I don't denigrate the Spur's FO, this was the best they could realistically do.
Lol and you give people about not watching him play. McDyess has an inside game in the post and pulls down twice as many offensive boards to go along with a decent jumpshot. Thomas had a baseline jumper and thatsz about it.
On the defensive side you have a point but it was very clear that Thomas ahd lost quite a bit of lateral agility as evidenced by his defense on pic and rolls.
But seriously dude your coming off as if youre in full panic mode. Its obvious to anyone with a brain that the person you are trying to convince here is yourself. You should go and worry about your team retaining Odom and Artest's declining agility and shot selection going into his 11th season.
LMAO he shoots only jumpers and hits 50% of his shots? Uh huh you keep going, pumpkin.
All the Spurs need from him is to hit the wide open midrange offensively as well as finish strong around the basket whenever Duncan/ Parker/ Manu/ RJ are passing him dimes.
McDyess is more mobile and capable of running the floor better in transition/ defend mobile 4's better/ defend the pick and roll better/ rotate to shooters quicker and contest shots more effectively/ recover better/
I can go on and on about how much more a mobile big man can bring to the table.
McDyess is more mobile and versatile than Kurt Thomas and just as good as a rebounder.
McDyess does not = Kurt Thomas.
Keep reaching.
He still has a drive to the basket game and in the Spurs offense will be looked to for jumpers.
Keep reaching.
Anybody ate grapes that were not sweet?
Holy !
What an offseason! Un ingbelivable! :O
