I noticed AJ is on the Nets SL rooster, but he did not play in any of the games. Does not look too promising for him.

Who can tell me how much does Ian really weigh? Why does it say that he is only 230 lbs on http://www.nba.com/summerleague2009/...er=ian_mahinmi? But I remembered that he is about 250 lbs.
Mahinmi is redeeming himself. Definite improvement from game 1.
Oh I agree. But your description could perfectly describe Bonner also.![]()
I can sip and entire cup of coffee between SJAX squaring up and releasing.
They could have easily called another seven or eight fouls on Ian. He just kept brushing up against people. Damned Frenchman.
lol Maximum Sports "Getting help from Antonio Andersen who had 16 points" lol
Imagine tonight's Ian teamed with Blair against the Summer League foes.![]()
Anybody wrote down the name of the female ref? I'm officially canceling my subscription to NBA League Pass once she goes pro.
SJax is 6-foot-8 with long arms and he releases at the highest possible point.
Beck ... not so much.
There's no telling. If it were contract related, RC wouldn't tell us. The Spurs keep that stuff in house.
You have to take it into context as well. It's summer league. I don't think George was really thinking, or worrying about full-court pressure. You can also obviously tell no one else on the team were worrying either as they didn't come to ball or keep anyone in the backcourt for what, two more plays? As you said, Pop likes scoring PGs. Hill's work out there is learn the plays and be a shooting guard who can run the pick and roll -- even if it high as .
Actually, as a rookie, he's going to get dumb calls until he establishes himself. Agree though, those were some ridiculous calls. The woman ref has no clue.
Well I was close. He ended the night....
12 pts. 16 rebs. 2 blks. 1 out of three aint bad.
Pounding the Rock blog has a postgame interview with Ian...

He's doing a bit.
Nope. There's plenty of 6-6 guys who can shoot who can't get NBA jobs, so a 5-11 guy is really going to have a tough time at it.
Props to PoundingTheRock for the interview and quickly getting it online. Impressive
Mahinmi is difficult to root against. Great at ude and you can tell he really wants to live up to the potential everyone knows he has. (Well, almost everyone.)
Again, very impressive game by Mahinmi and a definite stepping stone in his recovery.
