Blair defense really bad, it's the reason he was falling to the second round
No, it's not the reason. His knees are the reason he fell to the 2nd round.
This is really a terrible first half for spurs. Guys need to be more aggressive on both ends.
14 turnovers in the first half is the problem. That plus literally no one playing well for the spurs.
not turning the ball over 14 times in the second half would also help the cause. i think about 7 of those were offensive fouls. little too aggressive on the picks.
Pop really needs to ride Blair about his defense from day 1. If he plays average defense he will be a really good player. Right now his defense doesn't look so good.
Half of those turnovers were because of ticky tack fouls called by the incompetent refs.
Blair is gonna need to work a lot on his defense he's is willing to earn minutes during the regular season.
So I take it the Spurs aren't doing to hot?
Just logged in.
I wasn't that impressed with Blair's performance, he gave up at least two offensive rebounds.
Mahinmi did okay aside from the bullcrap foul calls. Everytime he got the ball on offense he either made the shot (1-1), drew fouls, or made the pass out of the double. He draws a lot of fouls and uncalled fouls in the post in the SL.
blair's d does need improvement, but it's not helping that jeter and bayliss are getting around anyone who guards them and wreaking havoc in the lane. hill included. blair is getting caught in no man's land and he's not sure whether to step up and cut off the penetration or to stay with his man.
Hill needs to take a look in the mirror at halftime.
And say what's up.
They need to throw the ball down to the post more in the second half and give Ian and Blair more touches.
Beck's game reminds me of Mike Gale's........
Pretty ugly ball in the first half. Blair is really looking to score. I don't mind that at all, but he has to be a bit more patient. As many others stated, turnovers are killing the team.
This is the type of game that proves nothing for both teams. The refs are waisting everyone's time.
I agree. More than 3/4 of the time, I don't even know what the heck are they calling.
