Remember how the Spurs were whipped by Dallas late in '03 when Duncan went down early in the game? The Mavs were taunting the Spurs, jumping around the arena and acting like they won the championship. The Spurs took that game and built off of it.

Nothing makes a team play together like getting disrespected. And when all the chips were down and the team was down by more than 30 points ... they didn't fold. They fought back. The Spurs showed what they were made out of.
