Ebay SCAM

Just in case you didn't know. My wife received an email supposedly from Ebay telling her to verify her email address for some reason. Don't remember what exactly, but the email had EBay logo and website you would access. She was su ious and forwarded the email to Ebay. This is what they said.

messages, are sent in an attempt to collect sensitive personal or
financial information from the recipients.

The email you reported was not sent by eBay. We have reported this email
to the appropriate authorities.

In the future, be very cautious of any email that asks you to submit
information such as your credit card number or your email password. If
you are ever concerned about an email you receive from eBay, open a new
Web browser, type www.ebay.com into your browser address field, and
click on the "site map" link located at the top the page to access the
eBay page you need.

If you have any doubt about whether an email message is from eBay,
please forward it immediately to [email protected]. Do not respond to it or
click any of the links. Do not remove the original subject line or
change the email in any way when you forward it to us.

If you have already entered sensitive financial information or your
password into a Web site based on a request from a spoofed email, you
should take immediate action to protect your iden y and all of your
online accounts. We have developed an eBay Help page with valuable

Uhhh....yeah they're Spurs fans and like to surf.

, I had three clients send that email to me today. They don't even spell account right (has one 'c' in it).

My yahoo account got phished a couple weeks ago.

I get at least 3 of those scam mails per week.
I forward them all to spoof.
Also be aware of the same scam they try to pull of with them PayPal emails asking confirmation and stuff.

NEVER reply to them and just always forward them to the spoof address.
