Kobe said he never had a rival. It's true. Nobody from 1996 (rookie year) to 2012 (16th year) has a resume that can with his. Not Ray Allen, Vince Carter, Joe Johnson, Wade, AI, Reggie Miller, Mitch Richmond, JR Rider, Manu - none of these SGs can hold Kobe's jock. Never mind the 3peat: look at what he did without Shaq. MJ always had a HOF teammate, Kobe repeated without one (who is now on the trading block). Still got 5 rangs (and counting). LeHype? Had two top 10 players by his side last year and still came up short.

Now this . I'll eat some and watch how all the Kobe haters run with their tails between their legs. Thems be da facts. Neal with it.

The pink triangle, rendered in hot pink and sometimes turned upright as a gay pride and gay rights symbol, was originally rendered in pink and used pointed downward on a Nazi concentration camp badge to denote sexual men.

Kobe's career FG% in the clutch is an epic fail.

    He makes Lebron look good.
At least he takes the shot

Kobe was around the same age. Valid comparison.

OTOH, if I used Kobe at age 17-24 vs. MJ at the same age, it would be Kobe: 3, MJ: 0. Then you guys would bring the Shaq factor into the argument. My argument excludes Shaq.
Except your initial post was a statistical comparison, not merely a rings argument. And Jordan up to the age of 24 put up 35/6/7 playoff numbers to Kobe's 22/5/4 playoff numbers up to that age of 24.

Shaq doesn't come into play for comparing playoffs Kobe in 2008-2010 to playoffs Jordan at a more similar age from 1991-93. You compared playoff statistics of Kobe in his prime to playoff stats of Jordan when he was in his mid-30s, not in Jordan's true prime. It's a simple question you didn't seem to want to answer. I'll ask it again and wait for a direct answer to the question.

Why not compare 2008-10 Kobe to 1991-93 Jordan? Shaq doesn't enter the discussion for that comparison.

I'd give the ball to Fisher in the last 24 seconds.
His FG is probably twice Kobe's in the clutch.

Perception can often be ruled by emotion. I don't know what their clutch stats are this season. But 82games have clutch statistics you can go to and find out how clutch Fisher is compared to Kobe. Now, it's not just shots in the last 24 seconds. I don't know where to find those. But these are the clutch shooting percentage stats of each from the previous 3 seasons according to 82games, final 5 minutes of the 4th quarter plus overtime, game within 5 points either way:

    Kobe
    2010-11: .402 FG%, .351 3P%, 87% FT
    2009-10: .444 FG%, .357 3P%, 80% FT
    2008-09: .457 FG%, .400 3P%, 92% FT

    Fisher
    2010-11: .313 FG%, .125 3P%, 66% FT
    2009-10: .318 FG%, .286 3P%, 75% FT
    2008-09: .250 FG%, .286 3P%, 78% FT

    http://www.82games.com/0910/CSORT11.HTM
    http://www.82games.com/0809/CSORT11.HTM

Now, Fisher might have a better percentage in the final 24 seconds because he has taken and made big shots, generally wide open jumpers. It's just weird how feelings about Kobe will warp the perception of reality. So people will believe what they want to believe.

so when it's convenient you parse out les and stats? Lkr fans balance comes in that he compares stats relative to les minus Shaq...asian please gtfoh...Kobe was almost double the same amount of time put in at the same age...because at 28 MJ had 7 yrs while at 28 Kobe had 12 yrs almost double...you not trying to compare primes because Kobe's came during the Shaq yrs and ironically it's the same reason his stats are lower than MJ's prior to MJ winning les why because of the Shaq factor...listen Jammy you try but when you step to my true Laker brothers with that BS - a like Kool will all over you...now go run and tell Kori that

Shaq has nothing to do with 2008-10 Kobe and 1991-93 Jordan. I asked a simple question. It wasn't answered. Why not compare prime Kobe to prime Jordan? Why only compare prime Kobe to mid-30s Jordan? Simple question. Not answered. Shaq has nothing to do with the question.

Fact is if you compare 2008-10 Kobe to 1991-93 Jordan, it would be very clear that Kobe is not Jordan's peer. Now Kobe might be closer to Jordan than anyone else since Jordan. But that doesn't mean they're on the same level. Ignoring 1991-93 Jordan manipulates the facts.

Wtf kind of response is yours. I just told you don't spin it Jammie..
A prime Kobe is 22-26 the Shaq yrs so you can't make the comparison without Shaq. Kobe at 28 is past prime...WHY? Because he already had almost 14 yrs in at 28...12 to be exact while MJ only had 8 yrs in at 28..so you trying to make 28 Kobes prime is silly as ...dude listen i may be a hardcore but I'm smarter than you.

Yes. I know the seems super human compared to tosb but any player that is 28 is past prime. You tried to clown my Laker brother and I caught you with a left hook...deal with that .
