Adding the Bobcats along with OKC to my list of teams I hate to see the Spurs play in the Playoffs. lol
"Will people shut the up about playing small ball and moaning for Haislip to play.
Pop is a professional basketball coach. Half of you idiots can't even dribble a basketball."
Have you ever seen Pop dribble a ball?
Adding the Bobcats along with OKC to my list of teams I hate to see the Spurs play in the Playoffs. lol
PJ was never the lead assistant.
it's always been budenholzer.
PJ was there for a reason I still don't know.
Its been stated many many many times, PJ once in a while ran practice and that was about it.
I'd say the only time they'd play em again would be the finals, and I'll bet you a billion dollars that it won't happen.
Did McDyess get hurt in the first half? I saw him holding his shoulder . . .
WTF man. How come PJ coached the team when Pop was ejected then? I thought that is what the lead assistant does?
PJ had Pops ear. He would whisper things like. "Hey Pop. Small ball sucks."
Anything could happen in the NBA but thankfully your most likely right.![]()
OK, thanks. Now that is something I didn't know. I thought he'd be wearing a brace on that knee if the tendonosis was there.
I think he did, because if Pop's intent was to save him for tomorrow, I doubt he throws him out there at all, let alone for five minutes. You know what I mean? Five minutes is pointless. Either play him his usual twenty or don't play him at all. Great, if he's out, then Duncan will likely have to play. Pop may need to do what he did against the Nuggets last year: sit the big three. These guys looked like they were running on fumes tonight. Tomorrow, it figures they'll only look worse...if it's possible.
PJ was a big fan of it in 06 then obviously.
Brett Brown did very well in Australia. But he had excellent teams, and I don't know how much of his success on the court was a result of DMac running the team for him.
His work with the Australian team has been ordinary so far.
He does seem to have good feedback from previous players, but I just don't think he is much of a defensive coach.
We need an assistant who brings some defensive IQ. At present we have nobody who does this. PJ did.
Most experience.
Watch the games he would take over too, the team would play like dog crap.
I can remember one exactly in 06-07 when they played an undermanned Hornets team and they had a big lead going Pop gets tossed, then they damn near lose and PJ looked flustered the whole time.
Looks are decieving.
WTf, Pop is a defensive coach.
You guys are overthinking this.
So wait, we finally beat a couple decent teams and start to turn things around and then the team decides to go back to playing "we don't give a " ball? Losing to a crappy team by a few is one thing, but getting your ass handed to you by the Charlotte Bobcats is inexcusable. This team makes me want to pull my hair out for Christ's sake. What the is going on with them?
Would be a shame if he did. his game was really rounding into form with the team and had pieced together some good games.
Only opens the door for Mahinmi possibly.
P.J. Carlesimo returned to the NBA head-coaching ranks when he was named head coach of the Seattle SuperSonics on July 5, 2007. The 15th coach in Sonics franchise history, Carlesimo brings 34 years of coaching experience to the Sonics, including 25 years as head coach.
For the past five seasons (2002-07), Carlesimo served as Gregg Popovich’s lead assistant with the San Antonio Spurs, winners of three of the last five NBA les.

Dude if you've watched this team for ANY amount of time.
This happens in championship years and not.
It happens to all teams.
In le only.
Damn't Kori where are you here, HELP ME!![]()
Who were these guys? The real Spurs are still in Oklahoma. I knew it was going to be bad after Tim, tony and Manu all fell to the floor in the first qtr. Mostly just tripping over themselves.
Been watching them for a long time and yes I've seen it before with this team, yet it never stops being frustrating. I don't think it should be too much to ask professional athletes to give it their best effort. Dudes are getting paid millions of dollars. , at least make it look like you care about the outcome of the game.
Just admit your were wrong.
PJ is the guy who finally convinced Pop it was OK to play zone defense.
Now your really going overboard.
You really wanna go down that road?
You claimed PJ was never lead assistant and he held the le for 5 seasons with the Spurs. It is obvious that you were wrong-- not about an opinion or a view-- but about a FACT.
