On another note how about that Gereld wallace? I was never on his band wagon when he entered the league but he has turned out to be a very fine player. The man can ball.
nothing is wrong with them, the problem tonight was lineup choices, such as playing the whole third quarter with a tiny lineup (during which time bobcats 'coincidently' pounded the paint and boards and built a 15 point lead). if we had played a true big or 2 the whole third it would have been a much closer game.
play the right matchups and we have no problem with this team.

+1
Problem ain't the players, its the coach
Diaw scores 26 as Bobcats shut down Spurs 92-76
By Mike Cranston
Boris Diaw had 26 points and 11 rebounds, Gerald Wallace added 21 points and the Charlotte Bobcats used stifling second-half defense to beat the San Antonio Spurs 92-76 on Friday night for their franchise-record sixth straight home win.
With Wallace collecting acrobatic blocks, the Bobcats took control with a dominant defensive stand that bridged the third and fourth quarters. The Spurs went more than 9 minutes without a field goal, and the Bobcats’ 19-2 run put them ahead 70-57 and secured their sixth win in seven games overall.
San Antonio snapped a three-game winning streak with Tim Duncan struggling in his return after the veteran was given a game off to rest. Duncan hit just 4 of 12 shots and had 10 points and nine rebounds.
DeJuan Blair had 11 points and 16 rebounds, one game after he had 28 points and 21 rebounds in a win over Oklahoma City. It wasn’t enough for the Spurs, who had been 10-1 all-time against the Bobcats, including 5-0 on the road.
In his second season in Charlotte, Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown has the Bobcats finding ways to win as they improved to 15-4 at home and within a game of .500 overall.
And with their offense struggling for much of the first three quarters, Charlotte turned to its calling card—defense.
Coming in giving up a league-low 92.9 points a game, the Bobcats held the Spurs to 39 percent shooting, including 5 of 25 from 3-point range.
Wallace recorded five blocks and four steals, while Diaw took over offensively in his breakout game of the season. Afrer his role in the offense seemed unclear when the Bobcats acquired Stephen Jackson in November, Diaw has been slowly getting more involved.
Friday night he was hitting from the outside and a force inside. Diaw hit 10 of 14 shots, including all four 3-point attempts. Jackson added 16 points and reserve Flip Murray 11.
Duncan was given the night off Wednesday, but the Spurs won anyway against the Thunder. Instead of looking fresh, Duncan looked a step slow on the second game of San Antonio’s four-game trip that takes it to Memphis Saturday.
Still, the Spurs took the lead early in the second quarter and held a slim edge until their long drought started after Tony Parker’s three-point play gave San Antonio a 55-51 lead with 6:17 left in the third quarter.
The matchup of old coaching buddies Gregg Popovich and Brown got off to an ugly start. Showing just how devoid of flow the first half was, officials called three defensive 3-second violations in a 1:17 span of the second quarter—and Roger Mason Jr. and Jackson combined to miss all three free throws.
Duncan missed his first four shots and didn’t get his first field goal until late in the second quarter. Charlotte starters Jackson and Raymond Felton combined to shoot 2 for 11, and the Spurs lead 42-38 at the break.
NOTES: Bobcats C Tyson Chandler missed his 10th straight game with a stress reaction in his left foot. He’s out of a protective boot, but still hasn’t practiced. “It’s not exactly painful, it’s just a little uncomfortable,” Chandler said after shootaround. “I just have to make sure I’m not in a situation where we’re rushing and taking a couple of steps back.” … Popovich said G Michael Finley (ankle) is “within a week or a week and a half” of returning. … Mason swished a three-quarter court shot to end the third quarter, but it came after the buzzer.
No. The Cats closed off lanes and the Spurs didn't have their jumpers going today. This was going to be a tough win no matter who you put out with those cir stances.
Wallace has pretty much always been good when he's healthy and given opportunities, but his concussion concerns aren't a small matter.
It was so good to see them get the fire back the last two games that it was painful to see them play so poorly tonight, especially against a mediocre team.
that Pop jumper was awful tonight![]()
Much deserved tonight. Where's stretch with our "LOL" Spurs thread?
Having nobody to protect the rim for half the game made him look a lot better than he is.
When Ian was in there he got his lunch money taken and beat down like a girl.
Let down game.
Think about it. You get up for the Thunder and Lakers cause you have motivation to get way the up for both.
Bobcats? Meh.
And it totally showed. Human nature, no matter how much your getting paid.
Oh for christ sakes, the guys a freaking all star....
The points in the paint was again a factor, because of the small ball. Playing small ball last time I checked was up to the coach not the players.
What was the score of that game. I thought we won it by a lot in a blowout?
I don't recall him being flustered at all. I am still pretty sure he was the lead assistant. I thought I read when here was here he was the lead assistant. maybe the articles I read were wrong?
The reason I would like PJ back is because the offense, I thought was good with him. The Spurs have way more weapons now so I think PJ could do some good stuff with them.
Yeah and he's pretty reckless going to the lane so any little head to the knee, elbow to the head, head to the floor is gonna make the team cringe.
Yeah the Bobcats should have their first all star this year IMO.
Yah, that's why Ian sent his packing huh?
The guy whos team is owned by the Bobcats comes in to talk and own himself.
I sat behind the bench that night, Pop getting tossed was hilarious.
I was there. barely won and the team management was horrible.
Not as bad as Coach Bud's the other night against Dallas, but baddddd.
Seriously....
Pretty much of what the playoffs are all about. Hopefully the guys will and I'm sure they will learn from this, and be able to use what they have learned when that times comes.
Thanks Ploto. I was sure PJ was the lead assistant.
No the factor was the team being lethargic as , and the Bobcats points came alot in transition and on threes (boris diaw, miss him on the telecast?)
Ian Mahimi wasn't gonna bag threes to open up the floor on the offensive end.
IN NAME ONLY

lol what was the score of the game? Unless I am thinking of another Hornets game I thought we won that one big.
What do you mean in name only.
Do you want to elaborate or keep repeating the same thing. You can elaborate here, unless you don't know what you are talking about.
