I hate the way it ended. Spurs have nine turnovers.

LOL at the "letdown game" apologists. More like letdown season. I don't even know if we'll qualify as first-round cannon fodder this year.

I actually am concerned about it, as Ian's ability to stay in the game more than nine minutes could help win it.
I agree. I was simply debating the fact that the fouls meant he played badly and that he did not help.

Memphis up 10 at the half

    TP with a pathetic game
well they're playing their freaking C on him. He's not gonna get a lot of shots that way. Spurs need to pummel the ball in to Duncan every time to punish the Grizzlies for that. OH wait, but every time the Spurs big men touch the ball the refs call a foul. It helps to have the refs paid off, I guess.

    Instead of a potential 5-6 pt deficit, it's a 10 pt deficit.

Disappointing half overall. Played well at times but they are again not as energetic as they need to be. Duncan looks better but TP has disappeared and Manu doesn't realize he's Manu. Oh and RJ is also doing nothing.

Man, the Spurs are on the verge of giving back those two impressive wins

With Manu in a bit of a shooting slump, his confidence has been completely shot in his jumper.

So naturally, he's been passing up shots he should be taking.

Hopefully the second half this team comes out hungrier.

52 pts to the Grizz in a half?

    Something needs to change.

Why the can't we finish a quarter any more????

It's like a virus - we get killed at the end of 2 quarters a game these days. Ugh.
Do you remember the 2003 team? The last two minutes of every quarter the other team would never score and any deficit we had would be completely wiped out.

It might take a few days but the smalls still look tired. I still maintain its from trying to cover guys bigger than them game after game.

Once again, not nearly enough minutes/shots/production from Jefferson, Ginobili apparently thinks he's Nash and even when he does look to score, he's become very inefficient as a scorer, Parker, clearly the guy wants to be doing just about anything but playing basketball right now and Duncan, as usual is playing like it's a must win game and in the process is logging too many minutes.

We knew the Spurs were going to blow that fools gold early 11 point lead, but a 20 point swing in less than a half? Wow. Pop should give this team the first 5-6 minutes of the 2nd half and once they prove that they're not going to win this game, concede immediately by pulling the big three.

we need a big to stretch the floor, its a big part of the spurs offense

but with bonner and mcdyess out, it could be the reason why we're sucking at the offensive end

Hilarious ... but too scarily true.

    Defense is pathetic, AGAIN.
The offense is giving the defense a run for its money.

Spurs needed to be at least up by 25 to win by one, going up by 11 is not going to cut it in this game. I hope I am wrong but I sense deja vu from yesterday

I wanted Brent to be traded almost every season when he was passing up shots.

If Manu starts doing the same thing, then I will cry. PLEASE DO NOT do that MANU.

It is games like this that make me not believe the offensive statistics that show the Spurs being an elite offensive team. They have too many really bad scoring quarters, halfs and games.

A collapse in the second half will make me really worry about this team. They need to show some sort of fight.

    Something needs to change.
But someone said wrote that Memphis is 4th ranking in scoring, with an average of 104 pts per game.

If this is true, this is freaking normal.

Grizz already pulled out a 21 point turnaround in two quarters... Another terrible effort defensively...

It's ok though. It's only January and we're missing our 20-10 center Dice...
