This is where he needs to be. Reps young fella.
Alize Johnson is tearing it up with Austin and outperforming Bassey and Barlow. I wonder what the staff thinks of Barlow whether he is progressing or not?
I hope Bassey keeps his head up. He has scads of promise, just needs to learn. Barlow seems like he was always a long-term project -- he played with a bad travel team and hasn't received much coaching.

DNP and then not even on the squad for Bassey? Did he get called back up to the big squad?
If spurs make some trades at the deadline, do we think Barlow has earned a shot at the big club?
The Spurs pattern in previous years has been to reward Austin players who have put in the time and effort to show progress with a short stay with the Big Club in the Spring. I think they may bring Barlow in after the trade date and give him a few minutes, maye more than a few if they really like him and are seriously committed to the tank.
Even our G-League team sucks.
What's up with Bassey?
Exactly my thoughts. Is Bassey in the dog house?
I’m hoping for the best. I think Spurs are showcasing Poeltl and should see Bassey/Barlow as backup C behind Collins after the trade deadline, assuming Spurs get 2FRP’s for Jak.
Allegedly, even Zach is drawing trade interest. If they were to trade both Zach and Jak..well you wouldn’t want your only NBA experienced center to get injured in a ing gleague game.
If the Spurs can get another FRP and a lucky unprotected one at that for Zach or Jak or whoever. They should be playing an experimental all-guard small ball lineup in the G-League. And maybe even in NBA games. Anything that can help the Spurs maximise their potential to win the Wemby lottery and/or get a bonus pick in the 2023 Draft should be kosher.
Interesting.
Zack is becoming a solid backup C. I think he can help a contender, but I rather keep him. He’s only 25 and so much more to grow. Yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if some teams are interested.
Depends what the offer is. He has rebounded from injury better than expected, so that’s a plus, but if we get value for him, there’s some intrigue in rolling with Grandpa Dieng and Bassey. In fact, we may need a lineup like that to keep our bottom four spot, because after the All-Star break, I can see a lot of teams going way overboard in the sweepstakes.
Getting rid of a player just to lose games is an awful idea, especially a C. Collins isn't the difference between winning and losing; even if he were, just sit him.
I could see some teams be more interested in Collins over Jak, tbh.
Again, depends what the offer is. Right now he holds little value to us longterm. In fact, trading him for anything would be selling high considering his injury history.

Were they just charging him up by not playing him these last games?
