    Spurs season opener tonight:

Watching this on and off. We don't have our Simmons there, hopefully that is because he will get a call up tomorrow for the Sixers game and they want him rested and injury free.

So the Hawks assigned Tavares and Patterson to the Spurs because they don't have their own D-League team. Makes sense with the similar systems in SA and Atlanta but sucks for a guy like Ndoye who will see far less playing time now.

Yeah, I don't know how much Tavares will benefit from the D-League most nights aside from the pace. 7'3" non-stiffs will always dominate the D-League. Gamecast cut short but the defense was ridiculous when Tavares and Lalanne were out there with any perimeter player besides Eddie.

Probably depends on the injury situation of the big club, but who do you see that might be called up this year because the Spurs braintrust just wants to see what they have against higher level compe ion.

We'd have to cut a player to call someone up. Our roster is full at 15.

Maybe Cady will really develop. I don't see Austin games, but his box score is nice, as is Cameron Bairstow's. Does any NBA team have his rights?

They could be creating a monster with Cady. Just noticed the 3-3 on 3 pointers, and he's shooting 35% for the season.

Yeah, I my first thought was that the 3s must be a misprint! I don't remember the guy even taking a 3 in SL or pre-season.

Comments from Spurs coaching staff was he had a surprisingly good touch. He took some 3's in SL, but they didn't go in. He' a bit raw, but he's got good length. So this may be a promising pick up for the Spurs a couple years in the future.

A Big thanks for posting these box scores! Wow, DThomas was apparently a beast on the boards. And my man Cady had another solid game. Good to see.
