27 points. Finally showing great progress. This is very encouraging for a guy that's 6'9" and has like a 7'5" wingspan. By comparison, Leonard has a 7'3" wingspan.

Lalanne made most of his damage on the 1st and 2nd quarters. He was 5-7 in 3's by the end of the 2nd quarter. Not only was he taking 3's he was driving to the hoop, scoring and passing. He's figuring it out! This is from a guy who never took a 3 point shot in college and just played center. Excellent find by the Spurs. A much bigger 3 and D guy!

Here's is NBA scouting report pre-draft: http://www.nba.com/draft/2015/prospects/cady_lalanne Reminds me of: Nerlens Noel

Thanks once again. Cady continues to pile up impressive stats. What do you think of Orlando Johnson? He had on off night shooting the ball last night, but he seems like a real prospect, too. LOL, playing with Boban, Austin might stand a good chance against Philly.

Orlando Johnson has decent size and athleticism to do well guarding quick point guards. He also seems to be a rugged player. Personality wise, he does seem to be a Spurs type of player.

I'm kind of disappointed with Ray McCallum and would like to see how Orlando Johnson would work out as a replacement. Spurs don't own any rights to Johnson, so it is hard to tell if they open up a spot. His game though looks a lot more impressive than McCallum.

I am disappointed in Ray, not so much for his performance but mostly because he has barely seen the court after RC kind of oversold him this summer. I thought he played decent position defense against the Lakers, but he was just too small to contest shots. Basically, after years of mini-guards I would love to see the Spurs get some size at PG.

I agree with the observation that he is too small to contest shots. Orlando Johnson is 6'5" has a lot of leaping ability.

Plays the same game as McCallum but is 3 inches taller and a 6'11" wingspan compared to a 6'3" for McCallum. Honestly, McCallum is not only short, he's got short arms too! The only way McCallum can stick in the league is that *if* he can shoot like Patty.

Absolutely does not make sense to keep McCallum if he can't defend better than Mills or can shoot like Mills. Spurs have a hole and that's guarding quick guards.

His limited wingspan is something that I haven't seen discussed. I think I was kinda subconsciously aware of it, but that is a great observation.

Where was Orlando last summer? He wasn't with us. Nor do we own his rights, so he might end up being called up by some other team.

Yup, that's indeed the risk. However, I don't know if there are other D-league players who are also playing as well as Johnson. Simmons played well last season but nobody really noticed him. Johnson looks good, but I don't know if there are other players who look better.

The key though for someone to stick with the Spurs is basketball IQ. I don't see that in McCallum despite him being the son of a coach.

Orlando played for Austin last season:
