There not "getting" two first round picks this year. just swapping.... they will still have just 1 pick this draft.
In 2011, it's the right to exchange picks.
We all assume that Knicks will fail in the FA hunt this summer, but if they do well there may not be much difference in the draft positions of New York and Houston in 2011. If they do well this summer and add to it in the summer of 2011, that 2012 pick may not be that great.
Still, smart money is still on the Knicks failing with all that cap space this summer and those draft chips being very valuable to Houston.
If I'm a Rocket fan, I probably would rather keep Landry.

Yes, quite easily.
Conflicting reports of whether the Rockets are getting Jordan Hill as well.
kevin martin is drastically overrated. this guy is nothing special at all and the 4 years/45 mil left on his contract solidifies this. ugh i would not want him... but at least they made a move.... they knew they needed to do something i guess.
What are the Kings going to do with all those big men?
Hawes, Thompson, Landry, Brockmann, Nocioni, Dorsey, May, Thomas.
Most reports are now saying that the Rockets also receive Jordan Hill. Also:

Correction: Knicks pick in 2011 is Top 1 protected. In 2012 the Knicks pick is Top 5 protected
The Knicks are really going all-in this summer. If they fail with all that cap space this summer, they'll be screwed for another decade.
Damn, now we gotta root for the Knicks to land some good talent this summer? If not, there could be a championship contender up the street.

Bucks-Sixers deal (Royal Ivey and Primoz Brezec to the Bucks for Jodie Meeks and Francisco Elson) is done, high ranking source tells SI
Sacramento's announcer too..what a tease..
Talk about your blockbusters!
1:10 to go... I hope somebody is still working the phones in San Antonio or Philly...
Doesn't TMac have to be healthy for this to make sense for the Knicks?
So the Spurs aren't even going to salary dump Mahinmi?
This has been a weird 24 hours. First the lineup. Then TP's BS. Now silence.
McGrady is healthy, according to Tim Grover..
It's good for NY..cap space + McGrady still has a flashy name, people will go watch him here..I'll go watch him too..
We need an image of an expiring contract with an EPIC FAIL caption on it...
Yeah...that's kinda hard to understand. Why would the Spurs choose to eat his contract and the tax to have him walk away at the end of the year?
Dosn't make any sence to me but what has this season.
this is depressing. all teams moving and we will remain with the masons, bonners, finleys...
we are not doing THAT good with those players. trade them. plus parker
Just wait...There will be a story that comes out tomorrow morning about a trade taht was going to go through at the 11th hour but was just a little too late. Ala Barry for JR Smith or Bowen-Hill for Camby.
Do the Spurs pay off the media to report "well at least we tried" stories to tease their fan base with what could have been?
Don't give up hope guys! Come 3:01 EST we'll hear about a potentially awesome trade that fell apart right at the deadline...something about the paperwork not getting done in time. Then they can say at least they tried!
Edit: Ah, RiverwalkParade just beat me to it!
