What if....
Oden/Splitter would be pretty good together, provided Oden heals up nicely. Definitely seems like a spurs-esque signing.
Nice thought, but as phila indicated blazers are still trying to save face on this pick and will re-sign until there is absolutly no sign of an NBA career.
Does anyone know what kind of trade talk was going on between S.a and Portland during last summer? It was some deal but I never knew the exact trade proposal, I think oden was involved.
It was very low key.
Would be awesome if could be had for MLE, unfortunately Blazers still likes him.
portland will keep him in their roster
His Q.O. is almost $9M for one additional single season. That's a lot for a player who has played 82 of a possible 328 games in 4 seasons. It may be time to see what they can get for him.
Man I hope this guy can have a resurgence like Ilgauskas... back around 01 I thought I'd never see Big Z play another full season, and here he is still playing meaningful minutes in 2011.
I'd hate for the Spurs to pick up another big in the twilight of his career.
Don't think it'll happen, but it would be an awesome pick up (of course if Oden could stay healthy).
Blazzers cant get rid of him. They could sign him cheap, and dream of him staying healthy
Perhaps the only player in the league who wants to be a Spur.
Spurs should at least try to court and make a bid on him. A 1 year MLE contract is something I think the Spurs should take a chance on with him. IF he stays healthy he would be playing with a chip on his shoulder trying to earn a larger longerterm contract.
He is a legit rebounding/ defencive minded 7 footer, it just sucks with his luck on health.
He's a wildcard. Idk...
I don't see why he'd be expensive he has something too prove that he isn't a bust which means he shouldn't be expensive.
first should ask for his birth certificate
Worth the risk depending on the the contract. Although it's highly unlikely.
Just risky but would be a great addition
No , but their fans would probably burn their ticket office...not for losing Oden, but for taking RJ.
A small contract will not work. He's restricted.
wtf would they want rjs 30m or whatever he has left on that stupid contract, compared to odens 1yr QO $9m?
If the Grizzlies go deep into the playoffs, teams might forget how bad RJ was at the end of the season.
I'd definitely take a flier on Oden..Spurs are at a point where they would have to take some risks, if they want to open the window a little, and Oden, despite his injuries, would be the type of player that could change a team(he no longer has the potential to be a #1 or #2 guy, but you can't teach his size/athleticism)..
