That has to be the dumbest I've ever seen. The counters are just ticking away like a freakin' taxi cab meter.

No one can every say how many people are born a day or even per minute but you can estimate it pretty well.

And the US Census does so and they have a webpage with a counter for both the US pop and World pop.
