Another reason the kickstand was included was for the videoconferencing capabilities. It would be extremely annoying to try and hold the phone the whole time.

Video calls are limited to wi-fi right now. I'm sure AT&T would love to tap that ass for the extra 'feature' running on their network.
But yes, ultimately, the removal of the unlimited option has to do with jailbroken phones going around the wifi limitation and still running it on the 3G network. And stuff like MiFi too. Now you also have 720P video...

I'll probably wait for mine for a bit even though the thing comes out 4 days after my birthday. I'll probably get it the following week or week after at the latest. I want to help my friend out who works for AT&T so I'm going through him to get it.
Help with his commission and to meet his numbers and all that jazz. And there's no way in I'm fighting the crowds to get the phone.
I hear both the Apple Store and the AT&T pre-order pages are getting swamped... I also hear AT&T will ship it to you so you don't have to go near the store that day...

I got mine in before 8AM CST, the Apple page didn't offer shipping as an option so I pulled up the AT&T page and did it there. It states orders will be fulfilled starting the 24th, hopefully they end up shipping the 23rd.
I couldn't get on the AT&T site to upgrade yesterday. Today I went on and pre-order sales have been suspended. I take it people want this phone.

It's sad in this day and age when we have so much hype for two phones and both of them have problems at launch.
The Evo's screen has grounding problems and the iPhone can't make calls when held in the left hand.
