I love SwitchEasy. Got some CapsuleRebel and they are top notch.
$3.50 is worth a shot
Speaking of cases and the like: It seems like the quality of Zagg's InvisibleSHIELD has dropped since I bought my 3GS. One of the units just wouldn't go on without bubbles for anything, it almost seemed like it was wrinkled. Another went on perfectly but exhibited strange vertical lines. Another had a strange anomaly, almost like a tear in the material.
I actually went and bought two the last time I went to Best Buy because they didn't have any at my nearest location and I wanted to be set, but I didn't honestly think I'd have to use both but I did.
I don't know if it's only the 4th gen iPhone product, maybe based on trying to get them out quickly, or if it's their entire lineup or shields.
They look great, but my CapsuleRebels (along with a friend's) have an issue in where the bottom of the case (where the iPod connector is located) starts to sag down over time. It leaves your bottom area more exposed and tends to scratch the chrome bezel when it moves up and down. I'm not sure if that problem has been rectified or is only in some model.s
My wife bought two (one white and one pink) and she haven't had a problem here. She did lose the little connector plug that comes with it, but most cases don't have a plug at all, so no big deal. I love that it comes with an adapter for the universal dock so you can dock it without taking the case off.
OMFG
Apple is really insulting its customers
I'm sticking with my Iphone 3G

So, my girlfriend got the iPhone 4.
It's really, really sweet. Beautiful phone. Nice display, although the screen is a little too yellowish for my tastes. I prefer the coloration of the Evo by quite a bit. The iPhone seems to have better black levels and does better in bright sunlight, though.
However. We can't talk for more than 30 seconds on the phone with each other before she gets a call dropped from AT&T. That phone has SERIOUS reception issues, and not just "covering the antennae" problems.
A firend onf mine living in Chicago has no reception issue
And no, he doesnt have a protective case yet
If you have an Iphone 4, you've got to put on a protective case anyway
Some phones don't, some phones do, it seems.
Engadget reported that several of their iPhone 4's drop calls very frequently.
I wonder if the reception will be like it is in my situation. I've had the 3g for two years now, and I've maybe dropped less than 20 calls. I'm estimating the drops, it's just I haven't really had an issue with that. Watch as I buy the i4 and it'll reverse field and I'll drop every other call or something.
Yep.
I live in Canada and it looks like the Canadian release has been delayed (I know lol Canada)
Hopefully for better quality phones
mine works perfectly. reception is way better than with my 3g, and I can play angry birds without chugging in midair. I was also finally able to beat pandamania without it crashing after the last boss fight. whee.
I know a few people who have the phone and not a one has had any problems with it. I ordered mine already and should receive it in a week. Can't wait.
Found this in another forum; interesting
I've had mine now for over a week and I have yet to encounter any signal loss using it as a field technician. Granted mine shipped late and perhaps Apple corrected the issue and kept it quiet to avoid people bringing theirs back.
It's so frustrating.
The phone is gorgeous. It's got a great screen, and I love the industrial look (what a change for an Apple product).
And yet, it's literally impossible to have an extended conversation on her phone.![]()
You've got to buy a protective case anyway
You don't want to break your Iphone; plus it will solve the reception problem
Does your girl live out of state?
I can't do the whole extended conversation thing with my lady. If its more than 10 mins I tell her to either come through or I'll be on my way to her spot.
No, she lives ~8 miles from me. And when I say extended, I mean more than 30 seconds.
That is pretty bad. Man, Apple has me cautious to upgrade to the new i4...I should just wait until they address the problem if they already haven't.
I've had mine since Monday. I haven't had any dropped calls yet and I do hold mine with my left hand. I have seen the signal level drop when I've been playing with it. I think I would wait since I've heard there may be a recall coming anyway.
No, sorry.
