Alright, I found something at XPertLeagues that I do not like, and I suspect most players would like even less. The draft application is poor. Specifically, they do not have a "live draft" room; you have to constantly (as in manual labor)refresh the the draft board to keep track of the draft activity. Also, trying to keep track of which players are available at each position is a click-intensive chore.

So, I have created a shadow league at Yahoo and set up the draft for the SAME time, 10:00 P.M., 08-18-04. This will allow everyone to draft with an interface that is MUCH better, and one with which I expect everyone is familiar. After the draft, I will manually edit everyone's teams at XPert to reflect the draft, and then all league activity will be directed there, and only there.

Sorry for the hiccup. We will still have live scoring once this is set-up.

One last item. I don't believe Yahoo supports draft trades, so, everyone will have to announce their trades in advance, and when those picks come up on the board (and not any sooner), a draft room message can direct the trading partner who to draft and I will edit the lineups as approriate when keying them in).

I assume everyone can get a Yahoo ID and find there way to the Wednesday night draft.

The League ID is FSP50, and the password is GoN.

Regarding possible technical difficulties, I highly recommend setting your pre-ranks. Not perfect, but far better than the Yahoo defaults. I think a phone backup would be problematic, because as commisioner, I (nor can anyone else) make your picks. Besides, I expect to focus only on my efforts during the draft.

We are drafting live on yahoo. Then everything else ever after will be conducted on Xpert Leagues.

TPark, just be there about 15-20 minutes before the draft and it will be pretty self explanatory. Just rank your players and have a list before hand. The whole season will be conducted on Xpert leagues and you can find all the league settings etc there. We are just using yahoo to conduct the live draft in this league.
