Is that a yes or a no?
Fair enough, but that's putting all the blame on Breitbart and "blogs." New media is still carving itself out...but what do we do about established employers (such as the Federal Govt, for example) that refuse to investigate the issues thoroughly before throwing people under the bus? I think that's the "teachable moment" here - people need to stop being pussies when it comes to finding out the whole story before reacting in a way that has severe consequences on a person's job, safety, etc.
In retrospect, there were so many better ways for the Administration, DoA/USDA, and NAACP to handle this...not sure I'd go after New Media personalities so much as people that refuse to gather all the facts before condemning me. This woman has leverage, it'll be interesting to see what she does with it and if her "christian" side will prevail. I don't want to sound like a jackass, but it did rub me the wrong way when she said "I will go after him cuz he came after me." I don't think she had to tip her hand like that and make it sound like revenge, much less go into a discussion about half-blacks not "living the life" of full-blacks and being different in some way cuz she's a black from the South.
It's NOT about the Haves and Have-nots, like she said it is - it's about the people that need help and the those willing to answer the call. I think we'll see who she really is in the coming weeks.
Phew, that's my rant.![]()
Is that a yes or a no?
yes and no to what?
The administration jumped the gun and everyone knows that.
And she shouldn't do the "christian" thing. Breitbart isn't a kid. He knew what he was doing. If she can use whatever leverage she has to bite him in the ass, she should definitely do so. Would you say he was doing the "christian" thing?
As for finding out who she really is, I just hope she isn't some push over that would let some asshole blatantly try to ruin her career and then let him get away with it.
I'm not gay, so why are you coming on to me?
Did your boyfriend leave you? Did he not like your calf tatts?
Public figures need to prove actual malice in libel cases. I was saying that actual malice is there. We're agreeing...I think. lol
Too advanced for you. Sorry.
What do you call someone that knows the truth will vindicate her, yet still agrees to vacate the position for which many can apparently vouch for years of service? Is that not rolling over? She's not a kid, she knew what she was doing when she resigned "on the side of the road."
I find this to be a case of karma for Fox News and Breitbart..they make their living off of taking sounbites out of comntext and just got burned for it...![]()
Gotcha. The pattern of negligence makes it easier to infer, maybe. What has made it so clear to you?
She could sue, because anyone can sue anyone for anything but she would lose. Probably in a summary judgment.
You mean her husband hasn't apologized for that yet?
apologize for calling the bush admnistration out on bogus intel?
Context, shmontext. I just make up. Weeeeee.

So does this make what Breitbart did right, Darrin?
Yes or no.
And Darrins contention is inaccurate.
As usual.
What Breitbart and Fox did was wrong. But people in glass houses.... shouldn't be so sanctimonious.
Did Dan Rather comment on this story?
Link.
(The sanctimony aggrieves DarrinS. How pathetic.)
darrins is like an episode of cops when the guy ditches the car and runs.
dan rather lost his job and credibility..I think that's a fair price now.
He probably would've been canned eventually. His ratings sucked.
CNN's David Gergen just compared Shirley Sherrod to Nelson Mandela![]()
