Yeah very abrupt - I knew it was a death by Sterling's reaction, just didn't expect Bertram until Roger was standing in his doorway.
What'd you think about that whole dance/singing scene?
I don't really want to spoil, but what happened with Bertram was rather abrupt. lol at Cutler

"What a good many old-fashioned musical numbers have in common is that they occur in a sort of twilight dream space that's emotionally true but not 'realistic' in any meaningful sense, and they're expressing what the characters are feeling, not merely advancing the plot. Bert is looking at Don, whose talent Bert always admired even when he wanted to strangle him. But really he's looking at the camera: at us. This musical number is for us. Don is merely the conduit, or the pretext, for its existence."
I liked it, but everything post-bert felt disjointed, which I get... But I really wish they hadn't split the season.
Not yet ole Donny boy, I do think you'll off yourself before the final credits roll though.
The last three episodes were awesome, with each topping the last.
If you like Elisabeth Moss (outside of her religious beliefs), Top of the Lake is great on Netflix. 7 part series set in NZ
TIL that Elisabeth Moss was a Scientologist and also she was married to Fred Armison but that ended right after it started. She's quoted as saying: "He's so great at doing impersonations. But the greatest impersonation he does is that of a normal person.' To me, that sums it up."
I'll check out Top of the Lake though, because I do think she's a fine actress.
I don't think Don dies at the end--but I wouldn't be surprised if he does croak. Robert Morse' sendoff was nicely done in my opinion. Could be the last time we see the venerable theatre actor in a major visible role. He was great as Bertram Cooper and it'll be interesting to see how the last 7 episodes play out. Could Draper be on the verge of an epiphany where he comes to terms with his life and accepts the push forward into the me-generation of the 70's? Whereas he has been living that way through the 50's and mostly in the 60's? Peggy's ascension began in earnest when Don put his faith in to her and she'll probably be the star of the show in the 70's. Wouldn't be surprised to see her ascend to partner and fill in some of the void left with Cooper passing. Pete will probably continue his trade on the Left Coast as Roger Sterling gets his chance to finally step out of Roger Sterling Sr.'s and Bertram Cooper's collective shadow. Joan will probably get bukkaked by Don and Ted Chaough.
I'm up to season 4 now.
the show moves at a glacial pace and I keep waiting for something huge to happen.
As soon as I think I've had enough, I keep watching. The characters and the back drops are just too cool.
Pretty good Nerdist podcast with Matthew Weiner:

interesting, Don seems to just want to disappear completely
It ends tonight. Had a good run.
solid conclusion overall imo. balanced, nothing too terribly over the top, without being real anti-climactic either.
Brett Gelman
The scene with Don and Betty on the phone was emotional. He called her birdie. I thought he finally felt bad and guilty for how he treated her. I also liked how he got peace for all bad he had done. And Peggy had a happy ending.
Just finished watching the series. Solid.
Do eunuchs ?
great show tbh
lol derp fantasizing about reck's genital region
Finished a re-watch this year of Mad Men. Fantastic show.
I wish I watched it when it was running. It was on my radar but I just never quite got to it. It was really good, and it felt like they played it straight for the most part. And unlike many shows, I think the first season is among the better seasons.
Would've probably been more relatable to you if someone had gotten cucked. Oh well.
He turned out okay, though.
