Pei Wei opening next month.

I had business to take care of in Stone Oak and when I was driving through the 281/1604 area, I saw a Pei Wei being built and set to open in September.

Also, in the same area, a restaurant called Backyard Burger. Anyone have any info on that place.

Yes, it's open. It's right at the interchange of 281/1604. I've never been there but we pass it all the time.

In related but more current news... apparently the PF Changs going up at the La Cantera shops isn't too far from being open... they've got a now hiring sign up near the 1604 frontage road. I haven't seen the physical building it is in though.

I heard that next to Chik-Fil-A on Bandera (by our houses, Kori), they are putting a Pei-Wei and a Petco. There's some other stuff going in, but I don't remember what they were.

Backyard burger is goooood!!! Spoke with the manager and he said that they plan to open up around 8 in the san antonio area withing the next 2 or 3 years.

Not even close.

I know it's supposed to be. But Pei Wei is nasty compared to PF Chang's. And very few of the dishes are the same. Pei Wei overloads everything with carrots and the quality of everything they use is much lower than PF Chang's.
