No clue. Probably first shown in season 1 to just give hope but I'll bet they dash that in the next ep.
What is up with the helicopter? We saw it in season 2 leading the zombies to the farm but why is it flying around Atlanta? Is it scouting or something to do with the governor??
No clue. Probably first shown in season 1 to just give hope but I'll bet they dash that in the next ep.
I love the action so far, but they're going to have to get back into more character development or it will suffer in the long run
Rick ing that dude up with the Machete is probably my favorite moment of the series. Awesome
I sure hope that was Meryl in the woods, can't wait for his return. Will have an interesting effect on Darryl and his new role as Rick's right-hand man.
Ratings slipped a bit for the second ep but that was to be expected. Doubt its a big deal
Was this the first time that Lori actually helped anyone in the group, and was anything other than a whiny liability?
The ending sucked, imo. I'm definitely interested in the second group's story though.
Not sure about that. For example, are there any characters that you're invested in? The strength of the show's concept is not character study, but the zombie apocalypse. Nobody's dialing in every week to see how the character's emotional landscapes and personal dynamics are developing.
I hope this season and the show in general will be more like the movie Aliens than Fried Green Tomatoes. I think Aliens struck the right balance between characterization and action/suspense, with the priority placed on action/suspense. If they start getting too heavily back into the soap opera speechifying which characterized season 2, I'm out.
Daryl remains to be the only likeable character tbh.
Another good ep, moments of but meh overall was good. Glad they are sticking to the action > soap format
Lol Lori
they wont kill her off though. has hardly run off the comic at all
I think there has been quite a bit of character development this season, especially with Rick. We are now seeing the ruthless side of him that a lot of fans were asking for. As much I give Lori and her character, her honing up to her iness as a human being was awesome. Daryl has become the right hand man of Rick and has certainly developed into that character. Aside from Mr. Greene, the Greene sisters are really irrelevant to the show, I'm probably the only one to find them annoying. Carl is growing up and it's showing. I expect the characters of T-dog, Andrea and Glenn will begin to develop under this Ricktatorship. It remains to be seen what will happen with Andrea and her situation. Merle will definitely make an appearance next episode, I can't ing wait for that.
is about to go down these next couple of episodes.
Hollywood rarely follows the book; it's mostly used as a guide. Sure they'll hit up the main points and locations but the characters are almost always gonna end up differently.
Glad to know you speak for all humanity. And what the is with the fried green tomatoes reference? I'm not saying it should return to the same formula as last year, just that it shouldn't be a constant gore-fest. The best part about the show, imo, is how it is incredibly realistic in how it approaches what humans would do in an incredibly unrealistic scenario. The down times and the interactions are what build toward the inevitable zombie killing sprees, making them that much better. Furthermore, it's much more fun when somebody you give a about, whether positively or negatively, gets their face eaten by a hungry Walker. If they don't find that balance, it just becomes a special effects showcase. I trust Kirkman to keep the spirit, if not the same storyline, as the comic book. And guess what, that involves people talking to.each other about stuff, sometimes with long breaks between action sequences. The writers are capable of doing a good job of this if guided in the right manner.
If it's worth watching asap please someone let me know. Got bulk study to do and don't wanna watch if its a waste of time. Thanks
Haha let me know at end of ep, Merle was always going to reappear
Great episode. The dynamics of the show just changed with the addition of the Woodbury angle. Can't wait to see the Governor and Rick face to face, battle of alpha males
Also, the executive producer is appearing on Talking Dead right now...he just basically confirmed the idea that the pathogen is viral
just saw it, holy tonight's episode was amazing and sets up the future perfectly. I'm loving the post apocalyptic community that we haven't seen until now. Reminds me of the Fallout games. Governor is a badass, I was really liking the character till the military scene which made me realize he ain't in around
And wtf was up with the aquarium? Damn this season is 3 episodes in and it's the best so far
The aquarium scene is indicative of, IMO, the governor's personality. He's a cruel mother er tbh. It's gonna be a battle of alpha male egos when he and Rick encounter each other.
is about to go down these next couple of episodes. The episode after next week's, I think we will see both groups meet. Next weeks episode will showcase both groups, have some materialize, culminating in a meet between both groups.
Governor is indeed a badass, but a sick one at that IMO.
too add to this: I hope that the mode of infection from the viral pathogen is elucidated more...that scene with the lab guy give me hope we'll get closer to understanding more about that part of the infection IMO
hopefully the writers just don't completely dismiss this in the writings of the show
