Agreed better performance but Cornell better song. Listen without the visual and it is apparent
All of the singing parts is just her singing into the camera; and she carries it all the way through.
I don't know of any other singing performance that matches that.
And I say this as no fan of Sinead O'Connor outside of this song.

Cornell's voice doesn't come close to matching hers. You're letting your Cornell fandom get the best of you, tbh.
I credit O'Connor for no violin advantage. But Rather easy choice for me. Sheryl Crow has a better female rock voice.
I'm only talking about the song. Not judging artists or careers.
O'Conner the original and I have no problem considering it "the version". But this is rare remix better IMO
There was a recent remix. This is my first time hearing this original.

Well, I got down on my knees
And I pretend to pray

The Phillips girl. My God.
Bun B played this on Instagram last night and it's been stuck in my head since. He was just playing he loved when he was growing up.
DJ Jazzy Jeff had a cool set on Instagram live earlier too, and DJs like DJ Shortcut are doing sets on twitch.
no bubbles tonight
leeMajors. Still holding onto an old handle. Good for you sir.

Spurts, per usual our "Huggy Bear," [he lays it out so we can play it out] Something like that anyway. & no one touches the Bear. Stands to reason no one touches the Spurts.
& O'Connor broke a while back. Read it on the Internet, not even a headline, in a side story w/the attendant pic. They'd finally broke her. And I'd wanted it that-a-way. Until I read it. I won't read it again.
